Roscuroe had just turned 15, an age that some Lizens never made it to. He had nobody to celebrate his hatching day with except Hannah, his one and only friend. She was a blue winged jagged-jawed with Sabre fangs Lizen who was mostly hot pink and white with light pink hair that covered her right eye, and had some blue stripes on her knees and shoulders. She wore mostly pink outfits. Roscuroe however was a black and white feather maned and jagged-jawed Lizen with one green eye and one blue eye. He was also an illusion mage, a skill he inherited from someone. He also somehow inherited a kangaroo pouch from someone, but he never really uses it.
"Happy hatching day, Roscuroe, I brought you some new clothes that might fit you, I hope." Hannah said as she gave Roscuroe an entire outfit that was bigger than his current one.
"Uh, thanks, Hannah." Roscuroe responded, he didn't know what else to say. He liked the new clothes Hannah gave him, it suited his style better than his old white shirt and blue pants. He took his old clothes off and put the new ones on.
"I thought you would like those better, since it matches your one green eye and black feathers." Hannah said as Roscuroe stood up.
"I love it, Hannah, seriously." Roscuroe said, his tone of voice sounded more upset than happy however.
"You sound upset though, is there something bothering you?" Hannah asked Roscuroe, concerned. Roscuroe sat back down and thought for a moment.
"It is just that," Roscuroe paused as he thought some more.
"I've never known my parents, I don't even know if they are still alive, and if they are, are they looking for me?" Roscuroe finished after a few moments of silence. Hannah paused for a moment before responding "I never knew my parents either. I hatched from an egg and I just lived on my own for most of my life until I met you."
"Yeah, I know, but I now have a feeling that my parents are still out there, possibly looking for me." Roscuroe told Hannah as he stood back up and looked out the entrance. He took a few steps towards it as Hannah replied "How can you be sure? The humans wiped out most of the feather manes and captured most of the sorcerers years ago. They are even after my kind as well."
Roscuroe didn't respond, instead he wandered outside and stared off into the flat horizon under the daytime sun. Hannah followed him out and stood by his side as he continued to stare off into the distance.
"I also wonder if there are more feather manes still out there somewhere, hiding." Roscuroe spoke quietly after a few minutes of silence.
"Possibly, they couldn't have found every single one. They couldn't find every winged Lizen and I am proof of that." Hannah responded in a loud voice.
"There has got to be, they can't wipe out an entire species to extinction." Roscuroe said rather angrily as he hurried back inside and grabbed a small bag and put some supplies in it.
"What are you doing?" Hannah asked as she followed him back inside.
"I want to find them, I can feel it inside me that there are more, and my parents, I know they are alive." Roscuroe answered Hannah's question as he placed some food and water bottles in the small grey bag.
"Do you actually plan on finding them?" Hannah asked again as Roscuroe rushed towards the entrance but stopped before leaving. He turned around and asked Hannah "Do you want to join me?"
Hannah did not hesitate or respond with words, she quickly followed him outside as Roscuroe put his bag in his pouch under his sweater and headed out. Hannah carried Roscuroe across the valley to the other side. Just like that, they were off to begin the revolution that would make history.
