The next morning, Sofia could tell that her brother and sister didn't get any sleep last night—and she felt awful about telling them the truth about Lorelei. Miranda and Roland could tell that the twins were very tired.

"Amber, James, you're looking awfully tired," Miranda pointed out.

"And you've barely eaten your breakfast," Roland added. "What's wrong?"

Amber and James couldn't take it anymore—they just had to confront their father for what he did.

"Dad, we know what you did!" James snapped, feeling grumpy from lack of sleep.

"What?" Roland gasped. "What do you mean?"

"We know James and I were your first wish in the Wishing Well and that our birth cost our mother her life!" Amber spat.

Roland and Miranda were shocked to hear that. Roland was especially shocked that his children knew about it.

"How do you know that?" Roland asked.

Amber and James felt horrible about telling on Sofia for letting them know about all this, but she stepped up and said, "I did it—I told them."

Miranda and Roland couldn't believe Sofia told her stepsiblings about their mother's fate and their father's first wish—but Roland was especially shocked that his stepdaughter know about this.

"Wait, Sofia, you told them?" Roland gasped. "How do you even know Amber and James were my first wish in the Wishing Well?"

"I'll show you," Sofia sighed.

Sofia led her family to the Secret Library and showed her parents The Tale of Princess Sofia. She explained that she and Hugo had to complete this story the day Vor invaded the castle. Roland knew he was caught, so he had no choice but to confess.

"It's true—you were my first wish," Roland sighed. "My poor choice of words may have been the result of your mother's fate. I'm so sorry. Now every time your birthday comes around, I have to put on a brave smile to hide that I'm grieving since your birth resulted in your mother's death. I never told you about her because then you'd be wondering what happened to her, and I didn't want you to think it was your fault that she died when it was really my fault for making that wish in the first place."

"Oh, Rollie," Miranda sighed. She was actually feeling sympathetic for Roland.

"Honestly, I wish we could've known her," James said.

"Me, too," Amber sighed.

"I'm sorry," Roland apologized.

But then Sofia had an idea. "Dad, what if you used your last wish to bring Queen Lorelei back to life? That way, Amber and James would get to know her better."

"Now why didn't I think about wishing Lorelei back to life before?" Roland smiled. "Thank you, Sofia."

"Awesome!" Amber and James chorused. They ran out with their father.

Seeing her stepchildren happy made Miranda happy, but at the same time, she was concerned. "Sofia, it's really nice of you to suggest Amber and James meet their mother, but do you know how Lorelei will react if Roland found out he married another woman?" she asked her daughter.

Sofia realized that she didn't really think about Lorelei's reaction. "Oh, I didn't really think about that," she gulped.

"It's okay, but we'd better let your father know," Miranda said.

Back in Enchancia Castle, Miranda talked to Roland about how Lorelei will react to him being married to another woman if she were brought back to life.

"Oh, I guess we didn't really think about that, did we, Sofia?" Roland asked his stepdaughter.

"No, I thought more about Amber and James' joy about meeting their mom," Sofia sighed.

"Well, you were very thoughtful of them, but we can't have Lorelei react badly to my marriage to another woman," Roland frowned. "This can only mean one thing."

Miranda and Sofia knew exactly what Roland meant. Moments later, they told the bad news to the twins and all the staff in the entire castle.

"You're getting a divorce?" James shrieked.

"Does this mean Sofia won't be our sister anymore?" Amber cried.

"Yes, and yes," Roland confirmed. "It wouldn't be a good idea for me to be married to two women, and I'm not sure if it'll be good for you to have two moms and a dad. Miranda and I will have to divorce before we make that wish to bring your mother back to life."

"We shall get the divorce papers this week, Your Majesty," Baileywick declared.

Amber and James couldn't believe that they were going to lose Miranda as their stepmother and Sofia as their stepsister. Sofia was sad that she wasn't going to be a princess anymore, but she wanted Amber and James to be happy.

Later, Sofia was packing all her tiaras and trinkets, ready to give them to Amber. Since she wasn't going to be a princess anymore, she didn't need all this fancy stuff. Clover, Robin, and Mia couldn't believe that Sofia was leaving for good.

"I can't believe you're really leaving the castle," Clover sighed.

"But we'll be with you when you leave, right?" Mia guessed.

"Probably, but I won't be able to talk to you the way I used to though," Sofia said sadly. She picked up the box and headed over to Amber's room, leaving her animal friends a little baffled.

"She won't be able to talk to us? What does she mean by that?" Robin asked.

Sofia made it to Amber's room. "Hi, Amber, here you are," she said, putting the box down.

"What's this?" Amber asked. She looked in the box and saw that it had most of Sofia's tiaras. "Sofia, you're giving me all your tiaras? Why?"

"I'm not going to be a princess anymore once our parents get divorced, so I don't need these tiaras anymore—and I don't this either," Sofia said. She took her amulet off and put it on Amber.

"Sofia, you can't give me your amulet—it's your most prized possession," Amber gaped.

"I know, but village girls don't wear fancy jewelry, let alone magical jewelry," Sofia told her sister. "But the best part is you finally got what you wanted—you've always wanted a magical amulet. Well, I'm going off to see Hugo now. I'll see you later." She left to go and see Hugo.

It was true that Amber had wanted a magical amulet like this one, but she wasn't happy that Sofia had given her, her amulet. She didn't know what to think.
