Pixie and Brutus

Brutus comes home

Pixie was walking around her house happily waiting for the moment her new sibling arrived and she would meet him. Oh man I wonder what it's going to be! she said to herself happily as the lock on the door clicked and a huge dog walked in. "Pixie meet Brutus; your new big brother!" her owner said. New brother!! She squeaked to herself. "Hi I'm Pixie!" She said looking up at the huge male dog. "I'm Brutus" he said in a deep tone "I'm here to protect you at all costs. I came from the military" He said as pixie rubbed her body against his leg as she weaved between his arms. "Military?" She said slightly confused "what's that?" She looked up at him "It's where you go and fight. I was supposed to protect my- human" he said looking away "oh cool!" She said sitting on her back legs putting her paws in the air making tiny punches. Brutus looked at her and smiled "Where are my manners? Let me show you around" she said trotting to the big flat looking box (tv) and sat on her hind legs pointing to the box "This is a tv" she said looking at Brutus "W-what is that?" He said pretending not to know "Our human likes to sit down on that thing and watch TV" she said pointing at the couch "This is a big SCARY MONSTER" She said hiding behind her big brothers leg pointing at the vacuum cleaner "I'll keep you safe pixie" he said growling at the vacuum. "T-this" she said backing away from the vacuum and towards the kitchen to the big silver box "this is a fridge. It has all the yummy snacks inside" she said looking at Brutus before she went under it "Pixie? Where did you go?" He said pretending like he didn't see her go under the fridge. She giggled quietly as Brutus walked in front of the fridge and she rolled out from under it "Boo!" She said trying to scare him "Did I scare you?" She said excitedly hoping she did "of course you scared me" he said in a less deeper tone. "I think you'll like it here" she said playing with his big paws "heh" he giggled "I'm sure I'm going to love it here" he said being honest {end of the chapter}
