Pixie and Brutus

Christmas Eve

Pixie had on a little red hat that had a white little ball at the end and she was dressed up a elf. "Brutus, Brutus Brutus!! Look at my Christmas costume" she said running to her big brother "What is Christmas?" He said looking at pixie "You don't know what Christmas is?" She said looking up at him "i- I've never had one..With family before. I was always in war with my master" he said looking at the Christmas tree trying to hide his pain "Christmas is when you dress up and get all these little toys called "presents" and you eat food. You spend it with friends and family" she said climbing into his fur and laying her tiny body on his back. "Oh that sounds like fun" he said "when do we get the presents?" He said looking below the tree "we always get them tonight and then early tomorrow morning" she said playing with his collar "How did you get that scar" she said in a tough voice. "Are you sure you want to know?" He said  teasing her "Of course!" She said anxiously "when I was in the army I was attacked by a person who was our enemy" he said in a deeper tougher tone to make himself sound all tough and strong "oh cool!! It makes you look scary" she said in a mysterious voice. Right at that moment he heard the trash can rattle outside and his ears perked up and he gasped "intruder!" He said biting pixie by the scruff gently and sat her down before going to the window and he started barking at the hairless cat "get off our yard!!" He said through the window "make me" it said licking it's paw. He growled deeper and he rammed his head into the window hard and it made a loud thump! And the intruder ran away as Brutus walked back to pixie while muttering to himself. "Thank you for protecting us brutus!" She said hugging his leg "Your welcome. You really are kind aren't you" he said smiling. She nodded and smiled "thank you Brutus" she said putting her head on to his leg and a few minutes later she fell asleep still on him and he laid down letting out a sigh from where she wore him out and he fell asleep smiling. {End of chapter}
