You didn't feel Locklear until you awoke.
You felt him and had an internal freak-out. One sentence, Why was he cuddling me? You didn't make a sound, just tried to figure out how to get out of this position. Your phone buzzed, but it was on silent, thank god. You opened it to find a text message from your mom.
Hey sweetie!
Your dad and I had to leave for work early. We won't be back until tomorrow because the weather is supposed to be bad tonight. Make sure to take care of any homework or anything you need to do! We love you!
That's all you needed to see.
You shoved Locklear to the ground with a heavy thump. He grunted, "Good morning to you, too." He shook his tussle of black hair and looked at you with his brilliant blue eyes, which were sparkling with mischief. "You know, you could have just shaken me. I'm not a heavy sleeper."
"Well, that's a price to pay for cuddling with me. Speaking of which, why did you do that?" You shivered, "I don't need someone who takes joy in other people's pain in the same bed as me."
He gave a small smirk, "Well, your mother rushed in last night- oh don't worry she didn't see me," He added as he saw the look on your face. "The window opened during the rain. I squeezed under the bed with the sheets and pillows. She closed the window and stayed for a while before leaving. I was about to make my bed again," His smirk widened at this, "but you looked so scared, even in your sleep. So I decided to... add some comfort. You calm down when I laid next to you."
You shook in disgust. "Pedophilia much?" He stood up, put his hands under the hair on his scalp, and proceeded to shake his hair vigorously to bush it out. "No, not very much. You're a special case, I guess."
He smiled, "Alright, so do you have anything good for breakfast?"
You rolled your eyes. This was going to be a painful experience. You were beginning to envy Locklear's patients.
