You awoke, rough coughs tearing through your throat. You gasped, trying to find air in between coughs. You finally stopped, gasping and crying from the force of the coughing.
Your mother and father run into the room, trying to get you to calm down. Your dog jumps on your bed and lays next to you, in an effort to help you calm down. Your gasping settles down to wheezing and then nothing.
Your mother shook her head and looked at her husband. "That damn doctor hasn't done anything to help her. She is getting worse every day." Your Father shook his head. "We can't afford to switch. This is the best guy we can afford. I wish I could do more. I hate seeing her suffer."
The discussion soon digressed into them talking about saving money for another, better, doctor. You refused, telling them that you could survive. They protested and soon left you to get ready.
Unfortunately, your parents worked weekends, so you got no almost time with them. You didn't want them to work even harder on your account. You sighed and stood up from your bed and got ready for the day.

You looked at the newspaper, horrified to find that your doctor had gone missing. Now, where would you go to? He was the only one you could afford. Now your parents would have to work harder. You turned the page to find this:
Dr. Evander Locklear M.D. will be taking over for Dr. Kristen. Dr. Evander Locklear specializes primarily in transplants but he is willing to as he puts it "dip his hands in primary care." Dr. Locklear can be found at...
And there was an address, but it did not show the cost. Great. You would have to go there to see whether or not you can afford it or not. You handed the paper to your mother, who in turn handed it to your father. He said the exact thing you had concluded. That you would need to see if they could afford it or not.
You sighed and finished your toast, standing up to put on your shoes. Your mother ran to grab her purse, while your father went to go find his wallet. Your dog came trailing after you.
You sat down on your bed and pulled on your tennies. Your dog jumped up next to you and laid down. You smiled and patted your dog on the head as he panted contently. You stood up and walked to the front door, where your parents were waiting for you.
You shook your head and walked to the car.
