"Okay well it looks like you guys will be having a boy and a girl" Dr. Adams said with a smile then me and Devante looked at each other and smiled as everyone started cheering
One month later 12:00 pm
A couple hours into my sleep I feel a sharp pain in my stomach which made me quickly rise up out of my slumber
My stomach tightened again and I let out a scream as I felt liquid leak out of me then Devante sat up and turned on the lamp
"Baby are you okay?!" He asked as he got up and ran to me
I tried my best to speak as my breath hitched from the pain " I think the baby's coming" Devante's eyes widened
"Oh shit, baby I know your in a lot of pain but try to breathe okay and try your best to stay calm every thing will be fine" he assured me as he held both sides of my face and looked into my eyes
"Okay" I muttered in response
"I'll be right back, remember to breathe okay" Devante reminded me then he rushed to the kitchen, a couple seconds later he came back in with a bottle of water and the hospital bag we prepared for this moment
"Here baby you have to stay hydrated" he told me before putting the bottle up to my mouth so I can take a couple sips
I then felt another contraction which made me scream out in pain
"Baby stay strong okay take deep breathes" Devante told me as he held my hands
I tried to tell him in between breathes " We need to get to the hospital De" Devante nodded then he helped me up and walked me to the car
15 minutes later
We finally made it to the hospital, after Devante quickly pulled up to the front of the building he rushed to the passenger side to helping me get out of the car
he walked me into the emergency room and informed the doctors at the front desk about me being in labor
They asked how far along I was as a porter rushed to me with a wheelchair
1 hour later
My mom and Devante are in the delivery room with me
Now that my contractions are 30 seconds apart I heard the words I never wanted to hear "It's time to push Ms. Thomas" I looked at Devante in terror then he held my hand tight
"Baby you got this okay we're all right here" he assured me then my mother held my other hand
"Devante's right , listen to me okay your going to feel a lot of pain but your strong you got this honey" My mother assured then the doctor said once again
"You have to push now Ms.Thomas" I looked at my mother then at Devante and they gave me nod
Two hours later
Tears of joy instantly came streaming down my face as I watched the doctor cut the umbilical cord of my second child
Devante gave me several pecks on my forehead then he said to me "You did amazing baby, you did it" he sobbed
My mom was crying up a storm "oh I'm so proud of you"
The next morning
I woke up to see Devante cradling our daughter Zarah with a huge smile on his face then I also saw my mother rocking my son Zion to sleep as she gazed at him
Once they noticed that I was awake they both got up and my mom carefully handed my son to me
"How are you feeling?" My mother asked as she rubbed my arm
"I'm feeling a little better now that I got some rest" I answered before yawning then I heard a knock at the door
"Heyy Mir Mir how you feeling?" Leyla murmured as she along with the rest of our friends walked into the room
"Hey guys, I'm feeling a little better" I replied in a raspy voice
When they walked over their faces lit up once they got a glimpse of the twins and before they could say anything I shushed them due to Zion currently being asleep on my chest
"They're so cute" Dalvin whispered and we all chuckled then there was another knock on the door
A nurse peeked in then said "Ms.Thomas you have a visitor" I nodded in acceptance then once I saw who walked in my whole facial expression changed
It was my dad
"Hey baby girl" he said with an uneasy smile
