She arrived at the hut and she was there. He had said to her, that this place means you now... yet here she was. Polen. The sting of seeing her here with him, her hand on his knee... it was great.

He looked up and saw her- "Sanem, what are you doing here?" As if she wasn't supposed to be here. She almost hung her head, turned and left without a word. But she would always fight for him, so she stayed. "We had said we were going to meet this evening... I tried calling but, I guess you were busy."

Can rose, ready to jump down her throat- "Really?! Really!?" How dare she ask for explanation! Polen stood as well, interjecting, "It's fine Sanem, I was just leaving," then, turning to Can, "Think about it... but I won't take no for an answer, tamam?" "Tamam," he replied as Polen stepped past Sanem, "See you dear."

Can looked at Sanem, raising his arms in question, then letting them drop. As though he was tired of her. "What, Sanem?" She tried to start, "I came since you didn't pick up." He cut her off, instantly increasing intensity and volume. "I didn't pick up because I was busy and couldn't talk!" Sanem flinched, "Got it." Can went on, "I was busy, because I learned that the person I trust the most has LIED TO ME - AGAIN!! In secret from me, gave Fabri her scent- our scent... and now you want explanation from me for Polen being here?!"

Sanem tried to speak, "I didn't ask for explanation - I just- " he cut in again, "Let me just tell you so you don't have to ask- Polen came here to offer me a job. For photography abroad for months- no commitments, ok? Good for you?" She felt her heart clench- she can't lose him! "You can't settle that without talking!" Can did NOT like being told what he can and can't do. "After talking-let's settle Sanem?! I don't think we'll settle anything after talking!"

She begged, "At least listen to me! You never listen to me! Yes! I gave my scent to Fabri- "

"Yes- This scent is very important to me! I told you explicitly not to give it to him and you GAVE IT ANYWAY!"

"Of course I gave it Can! You were in jail! I couldn't leave you there when I had a way to get you out! The lawyer said there was no chance- I had to sacrifice our scent for you! I would give everything for you Can!"

His adrenaline pumped with pain and and frustration - nearing fury. He reached for her and held her face between his hands- she'd flinched, never having felt such a sensation. Normally his hands cupping her cheeks was so loving, so gentle. Not this night. "Sanem! That scent was ours... our two. Between us, do you understand?! It's how we met, it's what connected us! You went and gave it to a stranger-no, worse- to Fabri!" He released her and turned his back, then turned back to her- unable to be still, his heart pounding and emotions about to boil over.

"You didn't trust me Sanem! You ruined the connection between us! What makes you special from others now?" His words stabbed at her gut, dragging up to her chest, piercing her heart. "Can, what are you saying? You can't mean- "

He's full on yelling now, "I'M TELLING YOU THE TRUTH- THE TRUTH- I TELL YOU THE TRUTH!" His hands shook as he grasped his own head trying to keep a handle on his heart, imploding on itself. "Every time you find a lie, you embrace it," punching his fist into his other hand, inches from her as he spewed his hurt at her. "What does it matter why you did it?!"

They were both breathless- he, from the violent adrenaline rush of pain and betrayal, she, from the crush of his emotional blows. "I love you Can!" She breathed, becoming desperate. "And you love me! We love each other- we can overcome anything if we want to- " he exploded, grabbing her hands, seething-

"WE WE WE! DO NOT SAY 'WE' NOW SANEM!" Then, discarding her hands, "If everything was so special between us, nothing would have happened." He just knew it shouldn't be this hard. "You are now, for me, like anyone else." He almost couldn't believe he'd said it, but there it was... burning the bond between them, solidifying the foundation for the wall he's starting to build around himself. Her face shone her shock and his did too, but he wouldn't take it back.

Sanem knew he wouldn't listen to anything now. "If this is what you want..." He cut in again, "I don't know if it's what I want or not, Sanem, but it's what I feel."

A long few beats went by as they both reeled from his revelation.

Sanem finally blinked and gave a quick nod, acknowledging his sentiment, starting to back away. "You say it doesn't matter why I did it. I've just told you- love is why I did it... You think our love isn't enough - not worthy of a sacrifice of this grandeur. I think it's everything. Because to me... without you, that scent is nothing... But you apparently think that without my scent, our love is nothing. And nothing I say will change that for you... I see it now."

Can, for once had no words, still in shell-shock.

"I truly am so sorry for hurting you. But I am NOT sorry for saving you. I'd do it over and over again. Even if you hate me for it." She began to turn, "I will always love you Can." And she was gone.
