He was gone, leaving her there, in the middle of the dance, the wind knocked out of her.

She tried to keep it together as she sulked back from the dance floor, unsure of where to go now, or what to do. She found herself wandering the grounds of the hotel for a while... just lost in general. Should I just check out and get a taxi back home? She felt he really didn't want her there, but then, trying to figure out the logistics, and calculating the time it would take her to finally arrive home- it was just an exhausting thought... Coming up with some other lie to tell her parents who would most certainly question her arrival at such a late hour. The alternative being, f course, staying at Ayhan's but - she truly didn't want to be in anyone's presence to have to explain anything either. Crestfallen, she headed back to her room, washed her face, changed into her sleep clothes and got in bed.

Can had taken the long way back to his room as well, walking his mild panic off before returning to his room. He'd never experienced anything like that before. He'd felt a warming peace start to envelope him, but it was not his nature to relinquish control like that, so that deep and primitive tendency took over, all but throwing him out of the nirvana.

Back at the room, he had kicked his shoes off as soon as he entered, then sat on the bed for a minute. His mind started up again and he stood up, yanking off his jacket, trying to distract himself. He tossed it on the chaise then continued disrobing as he walked to the bathroom, turning on the shower.

After about an hour, she realized her room was chilling. She hunted for her robe as all she'd brought to sleep in were a pair of shorts and an over sized tee. She found her robe and then fished a pair of socks from a drawer, pulling them as far as they would go, and curled up under the covers again. A couple of minutes and she couldn't take it, getting out of bed to check the heater, which didn't appear to be working. Exasperated, she huffed under her breath as she put on her slippers from home and marched to the front desk, where she was told a repairman couldn't come until the next morning.

After showering, he had finally started to feel more calm, but as soon as his bedtime tasks of putting on sleep clothes, turning the sheets down and lying on the pillow were done, the stillness allowed for his mind to spin again. He sat up and grabbed the book he'd brought with him and started to read. It seemed to help, but now he was thirsty. He got up, looking for the bottled water but found his stock empty. He stepped into the hotel slippers from his closet and headed to the front desk.

He saw her standing there and almost cursed out loud. He really couldn't believe the coincidence. He started to turn around, forgoing the water, but overheard the desk clerk telling her they couldn't offer an immediate solution to her dilemma. He paused, shaking his head. It really was ridiculous how fate kept shoving them at one another. It was almost cruel. Granted, he knew it wasn't entirely coincidental to see her - he himself had told her it was a small hotel. And she wasn't at the hotel by coincidence. She had followed him there. Allah Allah- best go see what the issue is. He just couldn't not help her... ever her protector.

"Good evening," he said, his voice startling her. She jumped and stepped back from the desk and he leaned on it with an arm. "Good evening" the desk clerk replied, "what can we do for you sir?" Can explained he was out of the bottled water in his room and asked for more. "Of course, we'll bring it to you shortly." Can said he could wait there then, "I couldn't help but overhear, there is a problem with her room?" Sanem spoke up, "Evet, my heater doesn't work so it's freezing in my room." The desk clerk nodded, "Yes, unfortunately it can't be repaired until morning." Sanem stepped forward again, "This needs resolved tonight... I can just move rooms, right?" "Unfortunately, we are fully booked with the seminar. There are no available rooms tonight."
