Voltron: The Ruins

"You're hand is looking much better." Macidus said, turning his head slightly to look Keith in the eye.

"My...hand?" Keith asked, genuinely confused.

"You don't remember our fight?" He responded. That's when Keith remembered, a flash back took over.

Keith was blown back by the blast, hitting one of the quintessence vials. He fell to his knees, holding up his hand in front of him. It hurt like hell and it had...purple splotches?

Keith snapped back into reality and brought out his bayard. "You've been using that signal to draw blades in." Instead of answering, Macidus turned to look at everyone, who had brought out their own weapons.

Macidus started laughing menacingly. "Kolivan proved to be useful after all." He used his powers and leaped away, but not before delivering a special gift. All the Paladins could do was try to reach the device in time, but they were too slow. However, having a Cosmic Wolf on your side can be quite helpful.

Cosmo showed up next to Keith and teleported him out of there before he too could be frozen in place by the device, though the Paladins were still very much aware of their surroundings.

As Keith and Cosmo popped up into an unfamiliar cave Keith looked around. "Where are we?" Suddenly, Keith saw a zap of purple coming from down the hall. Cosmo and he moved quickly, not wanting to be seen.

As Macidus was walking through the hall, little did he know that his "foes" were under the bridge he was crossing.

But Macidus' senses were sharp, he stopped mid walk and looked behind him just as a cup was rolling by. He blasted a pair of barrels in which the cup had just been behind...but all he found were some creatures scurrying away.

Keith let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding as Macidus continued to walk away. But as he turned around, a sword came down right in front of him. Keith screamed, surprised by the quick movement of Macidus.

Macidus started powering up, and Keith quickly grabbed a hold of Cosmo and let himself be teleported out of there. He didn't end up far, so they started running, desperate to get away from the Druid.

But they stopped as Macidus teleported some ways in front of them. Keith turned around abruptly only to be met with Macidus' face right up near his. Keith - with his instinctive reflexes - used his sword to strike at his face. Only he found that Macidus had been wearing a mask, and his face was much more troublesome than before. As the mask fell away Macidus laughed evil and popped up on the other side of the room.

"There is no escape, but death!" He yelled and charged at Keith. Keith dodged easily, rolling over to the side. He dodged a few more attacks before deflecting Macidus' blade. Cosmo - picking up on Keith's distress - snarled and charged at Macidus. Finding himself biting air as Macidus leaped away.

Keith and Cosmo kept running, not wanting to stick around for long. Soon, they were met at a crossroads. Keith didn't know which way to go, but on seeing Macidus behind them he made the decision to go right in a split second. Keith could hear Macidus following them, appearing in random places where they had just been.

Macidus started yelling, thinking he was getting close. Cosmo teleported them away because of this, but Macidus was smart. As they continued running Macidus popped right next to Keith, shoving his blade in his direction.
