“BOOTS!"

I's groan and cover my ears with my pillow. Kloppman made his way around the lodging house waking everyone up for the day. I's heard the sounds of groggy boys mumbling complaints and water running in the bathrooms.

“Girls, time to get up.” I’s sigh and throw my blanket off me, rubbin the sleep outta my eyes; I's hear the bunk above me creak. I smile to myself and shake my head as I climb the first few steps of the bunk ladder, “Tori, get up we’s got a day of sellin’ ahead of us.” I say as I pull the blanket off of my best friend. She groans and start to sit up, "Alright, alright i’s up.” I laugh at her bed head and walk to our bedside table and open the bottom draw. I pull out my usual clothes of brown knickers, a white shirt that my friend Racetrack gave me, black suspenders, a forest green vest and my black cap; by this point Tori was also changed and brushing her long brown hair. She looks towards me as she finishes brushin her hair, “Where you’s sellin’ today, Angel?". “Oh you’s know my usual spot, near the ol’ Brooklyn bridge." I's say with a smirk. “ You's know one a this days dem Brooklyn bois is gonna find out about you’s sellin' so close to they’s territory.” she states shaking her head. “I’s’ll (omg that contraction, lmao) be fine they’s haven't said anything to me before, why's would they start now?”. I's finish brushin my hair and make my way to da stairs to go down to the lobby, Tori trailing behind me. I smirk “So where you’s sellin today, wait let me’s guess, you’s sellin with Kid, huh?” I's wiggle my eyebrows at her knowing she has a massive crush on the eye patch wearing boy. She blushes, “Maybe; but da only thing that gets annoyin is that he's always takin bout da mayor’s hoity toity daughter, it's like I's just one a da guys”, she says a bit annoyed while rolling her eyes. We's reached the bottom of the stairs just in time for all the boys to come running down. “ain't it a fine life carryin the banner through it all-”. Tori and I watch as each boys gives us a small greeting as they go by whether it be a smile, a wave or a wink. “Mornin goils” Race, my best friend aside from Tori, came up and puts an arm around my shoulders; Kid Blink not too far behind him. I's roll my eyes at Race being, well, Race. Kid does the same as Race and puts an arm around Tori's shoulder causing her face to become as red as a tomato. “C’mon fellas we's got sellin to do!” Crutchie yelled from the doorframe of the lodging house. “Hey I ain't no fella!” Tori shouts pretendin to act tough but it just causes all of us to laugh instead. She smiles rollin her eyes as we all head out to sell some papes.
