"There" she pats your chest "now you look perfect too" You smile turning around to look at the room "I hope she likes it..." You take a deep breath trying to calm the butterfly's in your stomach, You take a seat and check your watch "She should be here any minute now" You bite your lip "is everything ready....I want everything to be perfect for when she gets here" The waitress smiles "Sir it's ok we've gone over the check list a thousand times the only thing we're missing now is her, and she'll be here any minute so don't worry ok" You nod taking a deep breath. "any minute right" The waitress nods "ok...any minute now"

You check your phone for any missed calls but just like before nothing. "Sir...it's getting late...and we're supposed to have closed by now...You only rented out the place for 2 hours....and I'm sorry to say its passed that" You ball your fist trying to hold in your embarrassment "Please just a little longer...I'm sure she's on her way she probably just ran into some traffic or something" The waitress bows and leaves the room. Your lips begin to quiver and your hands start to tremble..."Just a little longer..a little longe and if she's still not here I'lll leave" You whisper under your breath. Your chest begins to feel heavy almost like someone is sitting on it. You start to feel like a little kid all over again as you remember the many dinner's you had goen thorugh whithout your parents. Yo can rememeber sitting at the table staring at the empety seats from across the long table. Your chopsticks clinking against your plate echoing in the large dining room. You ball your fist "She's not coming....you might as well just forget everuthong" You stand up throwing back your chair you stomp your way to the restaurrants door "sir....she could just be" "I'm not stupid I can take a hint...she's not coming" Your eyes start to burn with tears "I should have known nothing was going to be the same ever again...I just thought that just for tonight...she might" Your sentence trails off as you make your way out of the restaurant. You should have known better..she had stopped talking to you a while ago..and you had thought maybe taking her out would mend whatever problems the two of you had, but you had thought wrong. you push open the doors to the restaurant but stop when you see a surprised girl on the other side. "You...you made it.." You smile immediatly pulling her into the resturant. "I thought you weren't gonna make it I should have known that wasn't true I knew you were just a little late" You seat her across from you and hurridly take your seat dusting off your suit you fold your hands ontop of the table. looking into her eyes was like dissapearing into the night sky "I knew you wouldn't miss tonight..I just knew it" You smile at her your cheeks turning hot. Your hand drifts to your pants pocket and you gulp not sure of what to do or say next. "You look besutiful..I never even knew you owned a dress" You give a half smile smirking a bit. She wore a soft coral lipstick and light eye shadow along with a light blue dress and long white sleeves that flared out.
