2:30 P.M.
Charlotte's P.O.V.
•~}=====>I feel a slight headache coming on as Sean gently pulls onto the drive leading to Mark's home, and he sends an apologetic smile my way, reaching across the car's console, holding my hand in his.
"It's okay. You're safe; I promise." He assures me, patting my hand as he releases it to my lap once more, quivering just as much as it once was. I wipe tears from my puffy, swollen eyes, trying my hardest to steady my breathing, in order to prevent any complications.
Sean steps out of the car once we park, jogging over to my side to open my door for me as I unbuckle my seatbelt, allowing it to retract back into place.
Sean offers a hand to hold me steady as I plant my feet on the ground, pulling my backpack with me. Sean removes the bag from my hands, slinging it over his shoulder as he takes my hand, ensuring that I remain steady as we round the house, knocking on the back door before walking inside. We are greeted by worry-filled faces, Katherine, Ethan, and Tyler now having joined the troupe, who sit in the family room, enjoying slices of pizza in their wait.
"D-Did you save any for us?" I ask in greeting, my voice still a bit shaky as Sean leads me inside. He helps me sit at an empty spot on an open couch next to Tyler as everyone greets us happily.
"Hey, we've been waiting on you guys! We were hoping you'd show up soon. What took so long?" Amy asks, her smile fading soon after I give her a look suggesting exactly why we arrived later than everyone else.
"You're kidding..."
Sean shakes his head, running his fingers through his mousy brown hair as he takes a seat next to me, allowing his worries to flow through his expression.
"He was a block ahead of where you guys were heading, so we took a different route. I may have been a bit of a rough driver, since I let a little bit of anger out, but we're okay. Right, Charlotte?" He asks me, and I simply nod as I am handed a plate of food by Katherine, who gives me a hug as well.
"I could hear him, Sean. I couldn't see him, but he must've been close enough so that I could hear what was on his mind," Mark begins, Sean immediately perking up, waiting to hear more.
"He knows she's hurt, and he thinks she's terminal, so he wants to leave her be. But, that doesn't mean he won't be back. I want Antisepticeye keeping a close eye on her for a long as possible, unless she isn't comfortable with it."
I merely shrug, silently grinning as I reach for the PlayStation controller Mark uses to control the large television on the wall adjacent to me, clicking the search bar on the YouTube home screen. Seeing as I stayed with Mark and Amy for the first three days I've been here, with Sean as another of their guests, I find myself quite comforted in this space, using Mark's saying, "make yourself at home" to my advantage.
"I like Anti, he's very... Straightforward about things. I don't mind them sticking around." I suggest as I select a video, watching intently as the famous Jacksepticeye intro covers the screen, and Sean groans next to me.
"God, are you sure you want to watch that prick? I mean, for fuck's sake, he's cutting into a poor innocent pumpkin for YouTube revenue!"
Everyone begins laughing, and I merely roll my eyes as I continue to watch, pushing my special glasses a bit further up my nose.
After they finish eating, Mark, Amy, and Katherine all dismiss themselves to get ready for ComiCon today, leaving the rest of us to enjoy our YouTube videos.
As we continue to watch Sean's Halloween video, he seems to chuckle to himself, a brightness behind his eyes that suggests he has an idea.
"Maybe we should wear Halloween costumes to ComiCon today. It is Halloween, after all. And plus, I already have mine."
