Sean's P.O.V

Once the girls have returned to the hospital to tend to our dear Charlotte, she is in shambles upon seeing them. They've brought her multiple outfits to choose from to help get her ready for her big day.

Just as I'm about to leave to give the girls their privacy, I feel a small pair of hands pull me gently by the arm.

"Hey, Sean? Are you busy?"
I turn to face Charlotte, who bears a face as red as a beet, her eyes trying and failing to meet my own. It makes my heart flutter to even see her eyes in a general sense, as I haven't gazed into them for a long while. I smile to her, shaking my head.

"No, absolutely not lass. I was gonna give you and the girls some privacy so you could-"

"Sean, stay! We need a man's opinion that matters!" Amy jokes from the bathroom, making me laugh.

"I guess I can stay." I offer sarcastically, rolling my eyes with a smile for emphasis. Charlotte smiles, making her way back to the bathroom, where I can barely see a few outfits laid out for her to try on.

I take a seat in my chair from before, the other girls soon coming out to join me. They all pull up chairs on either side of me, and Pamela leans over to me slowly.

"I think you ought to ask her out on a date, if you're going to stay around. She's trying to show off for you, y'know." She whispers, the others chuckling along.

"It's true, Jack! She wants to go somewhere that you like. When we asked where she wanted to eat, she asked what you like." Marzia adds on, making me grin as my ears burn with flustered joy.

I've not a clue what she experienced in her coma, but I hope it didn't break her trust of me. I don't know what I'd do.

"Well, I don't care. A full stomach is a happy stomach, and this is the first time she'll eat in six months. I want to eat wherever she wants to eat." I respond, before we all hear the bathroom doorknob click. Charlotte peeks her head out, her face reddening upon seeing me again.

"I-uh... I didn't know how I felt about the outfits, but I like this one. I just don't think it suits me." She suggests, her voice soft.

"Well, come out! Let's see it." Pamela insists, and Charlotte snorts out a quiet laugh.

"Well, I figured it was about that time. It all began when I saw myself in the mirror and really began to think; and then I found out I was hella gay." She sighs, causing laughter to erupt from all of us.

"I think I'm scared." She admits, still hiding behind the semi-closed door. I offer her a smile, standing up to catch her attention. I buck up and decide to be confident, in high hopes of making her more confident in herself.

"What did I tell you about fifteen minutes ago, lass?" I ask, taking cautious steps toward her. She chuckles, hiding her face behind the door playfully.

"Charlotte, look at me." I request softly, now on the other side of the door she hides behind. Her curiosity-filled eyes meet mine, and she sighs. I offer my hand, and she hesitantly takes it.

"You're beautiful, lass. Inside and out. Now come on, show the girls your outfit. Or myself, whatever you prefer." I tease at her quietly, giggling as her face flushes red. She finally musters up some courage, stepping out for all the girls to see. She smiles down at her shoe-clad feet, her toes pointed inward as she studies the skater shoes with fishnet socks and little pink bows on the backs.
