{Dianne}
Sighing, I open the door to my hostel room and look round. It's big, to say the least. At first I was a little worried, as I know in hostels they often allow people to rent beds instead of rooms, however the lady downstairs assured me that the programme have booked the whole room, so no one else will be staying with me. They could have booked me a smaller room, I think, not that I'm complaining. There's a large space in the middle which would be perfect for dancing, providing I'm staying here a while. This seems unlikely, though, as I'll probably be moving in soon. On one wall there's a double bed and a single bed, on the other next to the window there's another single bed, and along the other wall a range of drawers and wardrobes, along with a desk and a full length mirror. It's quite modern, but has a vintage touch. Quirky, but nice.

After finding my pyjamas out of my definitely not neat case I settle down into the single bed near the window, knowing it will be a nice view in the morning. Visions from today come flooding back as my eyes begin to close, and I relive most of the day again.

~flashback~

"I don't wanna goooo." I pout, looking up at Joe from where I have my arms wrapped around his waist.

"I don't want to either, but we've gotta Reddo."

We're completely oblivious to the man at the front calling out names for who's on which coach, until I hear my name.

"Dianne Buswell, Coach 2."

Joe looks down at me, lifting my chin up, staring into my soul with his piercing blue eyes,

"This isn't goodbye, Reddo, this is simply a see you later." He whispers, before kissing me gently. Then he pushes my case towards me and walks off to his coach.

"Joe!!" I call.

He turns round and stares at me, before grinning,
"See you in six months." He winks, then carries on to his coach.

~end of flashback~

Honestly I can't believe I'm not seeing him. I don't want to believe. Today could not have been worse, leaving him and now this.

~flashback~

A guy with a clipboard is stood in front of me, looking down the list of name.

"What did you say your name was again?"

"Dianne Buswell." I say for the third time.

"Yeah, um, apparently you're accommodation isn't ready... the family you're staying with haven't yet accepted..."

It takes all of my effort to not scream in his face.

"So, what does that mean for me?"

His face relaxes as he realises I'm not going to hit him.

"You'll get put into temporary accommodation, so a hotel or hostel. It'll be nice, don't worry. You'll still go to the school you were meant to, and everything will be the same apart from the living with the family part."

Actually, that sounds nicer than living with a random family that I can't even talk to. I'd take this over that any day.

"Okay, so where do you want me to go?"

~end of flashback~

Pulling the duvet around me a little more, I begin to relax for the first time all day. Even when I do get put with a family, at least I've had this time alone still. It'll be nice, actually. I can focus on dance without having to stick to any stupid family schedules or meal times or anything. This is starting to sound quite nice.

{Joe}
"Right listen up guys..."

We all turn our heads to the front of the room as the man starts to speak again,

"... so there's been a bit of a problem, one of you is going to have to go into temporary accommodation as a family has pulled our last minute. Anyone willing before I choose a guy at random?"

Everyone looks at the floor, trying to avoid eye contact. Why the hell not, I think. Just another adventure after all, another experience. I raise my hand in the air,

"I'll do it."

A look of relief washes over the guys face,

"Thanks mate, I'll add some extra stuff to your list for you, make it worth it."

This makes me grin, extra perks for a bit more unplanned fun? It gets better and better.

When I arrive at the hostel I take my bag out the car, thank the driver and make my way in.

"Hey, um, I'm part of an exchange programme, I'm supposed to have a bed, or a room, here?"

"Oh yes, they just rung me!! There is one person in the room already, but it's quite big in there, you should be comfortable enough." She smiles at me and gives me a key.

"Oh okay, thank you!!"

I make my way up the stairs and unlock the door, fumbling for the light switch. Once I flick the light on I hear a deep sigh from across the room as whoever is sleeping turns over. They don't make another sound, so I creep across the room to the other single bed, pull my T-shirt off and climb into bed, leaving my joggers. Listening to the sound of quiet breathing coming from the other side of the room, I replay the day in my head, particularly the best moment of the day. Kissing Dianne goodbye.
