{Dianne}
After breakfast today I noticed a sign saying there's a party tonight for everyone on the programme, which is why I've actually done my hair and makeup. Sifting through my bag I pull out outfit after outfit, thankful for my thoughts of 'pack for every occasion'. Finally I settle on a long green silky number with a slight floral pattern. It shows me off in a way that makes me feel confident, but it's not too revealing. I know there's going to be eyes on me tonight, and I'm perfectly okay with that.Secretly I'm hoping to run into the boy that I caught eyes with 2 days ago. I haven't seen him since, but know he's on my programme, why would he have gone to the desk otherwise? Not that I've particularly gone looking for him. I've stuck to my original plan so far, which was to stay in my room; the only times I've left is for food and to go for a wander round.
That's not entirely true, actually. I went to the gym yesterday morning and this morning- if I can't dance then I still have to keep in shape somehow. On my adventures round the huge hotel I've also noticed a swimming pool, which I'm determined to go in before I have to leave this place.
Unexpectedly my phone pings, and I look down to see a message from my mum.
Mum 💗: Hey darling, how are you? xx
Dianne ❤️: Good thanks, missing you!! xx
Mum 💗: Missing you too!! Up to anything good? xx
Dianne ❤️: Not yet- I have a party tonight tho!! xx
Mum 💗: Oooh exciting!! I'll leave you to get ready- love you lots!! xx
Dianne ❤️: Love you lots too!! xxThe knot is building in my stomach now, although I'm not sure if it's excitement or nerves. Taking a deep breath I slip my shoes on, a simple pair of flats- we're not bringing the heels out yet. Tucking my room key into my phone case I make my way down the corridor and down the stairs until I reach the door. After quickly checking myself over in the glass I open the door to see the room is already rather crowded. Great. So much for finding that guy.
{Joe}
As soon as she walks in the room I see her- it's impossible not to, her hair stands out against everything in this room. It looks even more gorgeous tonight, pulled back into a half up half down style, curled to perfection. I watch her make her way through the room until she seems to stop abruptly, she's still for about ten seconds before she carries on moving, making her way over to where I know the drinks are. Now's my chance. Abandoning my spot against the wall I walk over, my eyes fixed on that hair."Hey Reddo."
She looks up, confused. As soon as her eyes meet me I see the recognition, but it takes her a minute to actually realise who I am. When she does realise, her face brightens and she beams at me, but the biggest smile comes from her honey eyes.
"Oh my god, you're the guy from the airport!! Did I see you the other day in the lobby? I knew I knew you!!"
I laugh at her, I can't help it.
"Girl chill, you have all night to tell me your life story and secrets, don't waste them on the first five minutes."
She blushes as I wink at her. Cute."Can you hold this for me? I'll be two minutes, just nipping to the bathroom." I oblige and take the cup from Reddo, who I've now learned is actually called Dianne. Already it feels like we've known each other forever, but in reality it's only been a couple of hours- excluding the meeting at the airport. I watch her head bob up and down through the crowded room, confused when it stops before it gets to the door. She isn't stuck behind someone, because she turns around and her head starts moving in a way that shows she's talking.
That's when I see him. The guy from the desk. Not again. What a cockblock. Wow Joe. Not okay. You should not be thinking about Di like that. A couple of minutes later she leaves the room, soon returning back and taking her drink from my hand. We carry on our conversation whilst I resist the urge to ask about the guy that she was talking to. I'm not jealous am I? No. Yes. Yes, definitely.
