Adrien finishes chapters 7,8, and 9 to his latest book. He can not believe how much work he has gotten done on it already. It is a lot of progress since he has been at it for a few weeks now with only one day off. It is also a bit tiresome though. He smiles just the same at the memory of the kiss that Marinette gave him last week. He is still not sure what to make of it all.
Marinette walks to Adrien's place and rings the doorbell. She feels a bit nervous. She has her hands full with a few bags. She waits to see if he will open the door for her. She does not have to wait long.
Adrien hears the doorbell ring. He looks out and sees it is Marinette! He grins, unlocks the door and opens the door for her.
"Marinette do come inside!" Adrien says when he opens the door to see the woman he loves on his porch.
"Thanks, Adrien! " Marinette says. She walks into the kitchen where she sets the bags down on the table.
"What is with the bags?" Adrien ask.
"Oh, you will see soon enough, Adrien!" Marinette says.
Marinette reaches into the first bag and pulls out some cool whip, and root beer bottles. Then she reaches into the other paper bag and pulls out some vanilla ice cream, straws, plastic spoons, some bowls, and cherries.
"What is with all this?" Adrien ask.
"I thought we could make a few root beer floats." Marinette says.
"Wow, that sounds like fun!" Adrien says.
"It sure is boy." Marinette says in a soft enough tone to tease him.
Adrien opens the ice-cream, gets a scoop out of a drawer and starts to put some of it into the bowls. He opens the cherries next and adds one cherry on top of the vanilla tasty frozen treat in each bowl. After this, he opens the root beers and pours some in one bowl, then the other, finally he removes the lid from the cool whip and squirts some over the stuff in each bowl. He adds a plastic straw to each bowl along with a spoon.
Last, he grins up at Marinette as he begins to enjoy his root beer float. Marinette takes the other one. She smiles as she tastes it. She thinks it to be more delicious than she remembers since it has been years since she last had one. Adrien thinks, the snack to be a nice one. Even more so since he gets to share it with a friend.
When they finish the floats, Adrien burps this huge belch! " Burp! Burp!"
" Burp!" Marinette belch's as well.
Adrien teases her, "Wow, Marinette! I did not know someone as lady like as you could burp, so loud!"
"Well, Adrien you are not exactly that quiet either you know." Marinette says.
"Oh, yeah!" Adrien says.
"Yes, you are quite the burper yourself you know." Marinette teases him this time.
"I must say you are quite observant then." Adrien says.
"Yes, what can I say? I am observant Marinette!" Marinette says. She giggles a little as Adrien gives her a funny look.
"What?" Adrien ask.
Marinette responds, "It is just you are so adorable, right now! I m-mean y-you are so f-funny, Adrien!"
"Marinette, you are beautiful!" Adrien says with a serious voice.
"I am not beautiful." Marinette says.
"Yes, you are Marinette!" Adrien says. He looks at her and thinks, man she is so lovely.
"Haha, that is so not true." Marinette says.
"Oh, but it is love." Adrien says. He holds her hands in his own.
Marinette blushes, but does not turn away. She does not move. She feels like she is stuck right where she is right now. She can not seem to find a reaction to his obvious flirtation. She closes her eyes and rest her head against his chest.
Adrien wraps an arm around her. He thinks, woman you make me all crazy. He places a quick kiss on her cheek. He sees her open her eyes and whispers, "Marinette, my love, thanks for the snack."
Marinette does not respond at least not right away. She blushes. She stays this way for awhile. Adrien only winks at her and thinks, so what does this mean? Does she love me as I thought a week ago, or did I misread her feelings towards me?
Adrien turns on the radio and the song, "You Don't Know You're Beautiful" by One Direction comes on soon after this. He sees the look Marinette has on her face and grins!
Adrien's POV: The look Marinette gives me now is priceless! What more can I say? I laugh a little because she is so adorable. No, she is so beautiful! She really is and does not even seem to notice just how much she is. Which of course, just makes her even more lovely to me! It is no wonder, I love this sweet, funny, woman!
Marinette's POV: Adrien kisses my cheek. He thanks me for the snack, but he also calls me "my love, and beautiful." Wow, it is like, I am not sure! It is just so amazing. I mean it. Just think, he is the one who makes me happy. I am happy with him. I just know I am. I can not imagine my life any other way.
"Adrien, I am glad I could help you to find time for a break from your manuscript. I only hope that it helps to make it better." Marinette says.
"Mari, what did it mean when you gave me a kiss last week?" Adrien ask.
"Hmm, let me think. I say it is for me to know, and you to find out! Silly boy! " Marinette says. She teases him when she shoves him playfully.
Adrien does the same to her. Only she is so clumsy she looses her balance and begins to fall. Adrien reaches out and catches her.
"S-sorry, Marinette!" Adrien says.
"Y-yeah, it is okay, really!" Marinette says.
"See ya!" Marinette says. She leaves.
Adrien watches her go and sees a huge grin come across her face as she heads out. He thinks, what did she mean by her response?
