it had been a few days since everything had happened. michael and his parents, who were neutrals themselves, were there with him everyday, dealing with everything that was happening. they had spoken about everything, deciding (after many tears were shed on luke's side) that it would be good for him to go back to the classification office and do it all again. luke hated to admit it, but michael and his family were right in this situation.

they were on their way to the office, after trying (to no avail) to coax luke out of his headspace. he figured, in the end, that  michael's mum drove them to the office, telling michael to be careful. she wanted luke to be happy and if at anytime he heavily opposed to this, they could leave. though she wasn't sure if luke would.

luke hadn't exactly been talking all that much these past few days. he was just following along. he was scared. he didn't want to lose his family, but he also wanted to be happy. everyone always seemed so happy when they were classified and luke was hoping he would finally feel that when he got his done with. the right way.

'luke, we're here.' michael's voice pulled luke out of his own head, making him notice that the car had stopped and both michael and his mother were staring at him. he blushed in embarrassment before getting out of the car and waiting for michael to do the same. he quickly grabbed michael's hand for comfort, letting him lead the way.

'hi, how may i help you?' a young man at the counter asked. luke looked down at his shoes, not wanting to talk to anyone. he was feeling a little bit fuzzy now, and he wanted to go home. michael talked with the man and luke muted them out, focusing on a boy playing with toys in the waiting room. this waiting room seemed like more fun than the last one he was in (even though it was indeed the same one). luke sighed and tugged at michael's sleeve, gaining his attention quickly.

'can i go sit and play? please?' luke asked, earning a smile and nod from michael. luke let go of michael's hand and ran over to sit with the little boy. he wanted to be friendly and say hi, but when he went to say it, he got really shy. however, the boy took hold of the conversation and spoke quickly.

'hi! i'm cam! what's your name?' the little boy smiled brightly and talked happily, waiting patiently for luke's reply. luke froze and felt his eyes water. he didn't want to talk now. he was scared. he simply ignored the boy and kept his head down, wanting to just play and not talk.

'are you okay? seem scared. where's mommy or daddy?' luke looked up and saw the boy, whose littlespace appeared to be older than his own, looking around. he caught the boys attention and pouted his lips.

'no have, just mikey. over there.' luke pointed to where michael was standing and talking with the receptionist. cam nodded, pointing to a boy who was sat a few chair away, typing away at his phone.

'that's my daddy. he doesn't really like playing, but he's fun. we here for daddy's sister. she's getting partner!' he squealed, a smile on his lips. luke let a smile shine through his shyness as he picked up a truck and made a 'toot toot' noise. cam played along and soon they had their own little road going.

'luke hemmings?' luke froze, looking up frantically to find michael standing with a nurse. luke said a nervous farewell to cam, hoping that the boy would still be there when he was going to leave. he stood and ran over to michael, holding his hand and hiding behind him.

'hello there, luke.' the nurse greeted. luke offered a shy wave from behind michael, who was trying to nudge him out a little bit. they both followed the lady down a short hallway and into a room where another lady was already waiting for them. she motioned for them to both take a seat. luke whined when he realised he couldn't sit in michael's lap.

michael started talking with the lady, filling her in on the situation and what they had come to the office for. luke tuned them both out for a bit, playing with a chain on michael's pants. he saw that there were keys on it and get easily entranced in them, until he heard his name and looked up. both michael and the lady were looking at him. he blushed and gripped onto michael tightly.
