'and then, we played with blocks for a long time! and then, we had lunchtime and ella shared her sandwich because i didn't want pizza, and then-'

'lu, baby, i'd love to hear all about it but i really need you to go grab your bag so we can go home.' the two had been trying to leave for nearly ten minutes, but luke was getting distracted by stories he just had to tell michael right at that moment.

michael ended up taking luke's bag for him as they walked the little path toward his car. the boy continued on and on, rambling from story to side story until they got to the car.

'mikey!' luke screamed, scaring the older boy a little. he thought the boy was hurt so he turned and examined him.

'i forgetted to tell you the bestest part of today! cam was there! he came right after you leaved and then we played!' michael sighed in relief that luke was okay and tousled his hair a bit.

'that's great, now you've got some friends you can hang out with.' michael spoke, ruffling the boy's hair as they tossed their things into the car. he opened the front door and let luke get in, watching luke's leg to make sure it was out of the way as he slammed the door.

when he got in, luke was still rambling about everything that had happened. michael was excited for luke, he knew that luke would end up loving the daycare. however, luke was definitely an earful.

'hey bunny, i am so glad you enjoyed your day. but school really drained me today. do you think you could wait until we get home and settled for the stories?' michael instantly regretted his words as luke's lip started wobbling and he looked down at his knees.

'daddy no want hear my stories...' luke mumbled to himself.

'that's not what i said, luke. i want to be able to really listen to you but i need to be able to focus on driving and i'm already tired. i told you that when we get home-'

'b-but i gone forget them all!' luke cried, moving sideways so his whole body was on the seat facing away from his boyfriend.

'you won't forget them. sit properly, please bunny.' luke ignored him as he cried, rubbing his wet eyes with his fists. if anything, he pulled his legs up further.

'lu, c'mon. you were so good today. don't act up now.' michael was far too tired to want to deal with a bratty luke right now, but he obviously had to.

michael shut the car off and tapped luke's shoulder. he didn't want to immediately punish the boy. if luke was normally like this, he probably would. but luke was a good little as far as michael had seen.

'bunny. we're going to sit here until you sit properly and buckle up.' luke whined, wanting michael to just start driving so they could go home. this wasn't even fair.

'wan' go home!' luke screamed, his body shaking with tears and anger. michael took a deep breath and waited, hoping luke would simply listen.

luke took another five minutes to move, but he did end up sitting correctly. he refused to look over at michael. he pulled his buckled up and over himself, clicking it into place.

'thank you, lu.' michael started up the car again and started to drive home.

when they got home, luke walked sluggishly toward michael's room where his blanket was. bun bun and his paci were still with michael in his bag. he curled up on the bed and pulled the fuzzy blanket over his head.

'bunny? what's wrong?' luke ignored him and pretended to be sleeping. he felt michael sit down and he closed his eyes super tight, hoping that he would go away.

'alright, i know what will get you outta there.' luke opened his eyes in confusion but heard michael stand up and walk out. a squeaky, fake voice makes luke peer his head out from under the blanket. he is met with bun bun, who is being held up by michael.

'luke! i thought you were gonna sleep forever and we would never play ever again!' michael's silly voice made luke giggle as he watched the scene in front of him.

'michael told me you were sad and that he really wanted cuddles and stories from his baby.' michael watched as luke's expression changed and he reached out for his stuffed animal. he sat up and pulled the blanket around him and his stuffie close.

'sorry for bein' bad... no mean to.' luke spoke, moving over to michael's lap. michael frowned and played with a little thread on luke's blanket. luke hadn't even thrown a fit, he simply got upset and then shut down a bit. michael couldn't understand how luke thought he was being bad.

'you weren't, bunny. you just had a moment.' luke shook his head, sitting up quickly and pouting.

'n-no, i yelled. and i not 'posed to yell, specially to daddy.' michael ran his hand through the boy's hair, making the boy close his eyes out of comfort.

'you're okay, my love. you're right, but it's different.' luke nodded unsurely, but rested his head back down on michael's chest.

they stayed quiet for a while, something that michael had never seen a little do. he figured luke may have come out of his littlespace, but he was still playing around with the ears on his bunny.

'i lo' you, daddy.' luke spoke, leaning up to kiss michael's jawbone. the caregiver smiled.

'love you too, lu. now, why don't you tell me a few stories.'
