lance knew he was different than other kids. he knew he was going to be left out, but that didn't make him any less motivated or confident. if anything, it made him more motivated and confident.
when he was born, he was deaf in his left ear. his family; which then only consisted of his mother, father, and two older sisters veronica and sophia; treated him like royalty. and as expected, that didn't prepare him for the real world.
the first time he'd encountered something quite exceptionally rude, was when he was about 8.
