Dan bolted to Phil's room and almost fell down the stairs, with only one thought in his head.
Must. Find. Lion.
Lion was one of the only things that Phil had from home, and he definitely had some memories with it. God I hope phil doesn't have this virus thing. Dan thought, stopping at Phil's closed door to catch his breath. Pretend like nothings wrong. Say you need him for a video or something. Dan hated to take Phil's prized possession, but he wanted to keep him safe. Even though, in the very back of his mind, he knew that Phil was nowhere near safe.Dan hesitantly knocked on Phil's door, and Phil responded like he was a teenager.
"Ugh. What do you want?" Phil's tone sounded so annoyed, it was almost angry. Impulsive or unusually angry about minor things. Dan's mind flicked back to the article. No. He doesn't have it. He can't have it.
"Uh, Ph-Phil," dan said, tripping over his words a bit, "I just need to borrow something for a video. Can I come in?"
Phil groaned. "What do you need?"
"I-uh- just need to borrow lion for a second, if that's alright?" Dan hopes and prayed that Phil wouldn't be suspicious or ask any questions. One time he asked Phil to drag him around the flat for a video, and he didn't question it, so why would he now?
Phil hesitated before saying, "Ughhh, fine." Dan cracked open the door just enough so he could slip in. Phil was on this bed, the covers lazily hanging around his hips, sat on his laptop with earbuds in. Huh. He never wears earbuds. Dan brushed his thoughts aside as he began to walk to the shelf where lion usually is. Phil suddenly reached up and handed it to dan. Why does he- never mind.
"Just make sure you bring him back, ok?" Phil said, sterner than usual.
