We kept calling Isabelle's name until our throat became dry. She still lay motionless on the floor. Amy and Charlie hurried off to help Ms. Jones. Jaz was crying her eyes out.

       "I-Isabelle! P-Please! Wake u-up!" She cried.

I was sure we had tried everything. For a moment, I thought her body jerked. "I'm just imagining it," I told myself.

"Jaz, it's not your fault." I told her, barely opening my mouth. I just felt like I couldn't use any of my five senses properly anymore.

She melted into my arms and sobbed quietly. I put my hand in her chest to feel her heartbeat. Nothing. I felt her waist. Nothing. Isabelle is dead. I quickly shook that idea out. No, she can't be, I know she can't. She's tough, she will not die. Plus, I can't afford to see how Jaz would feel when she knew that Isabelle is dead.

Before we knew it, Megaera roared and stomped over. I grabbed the sword from Isabelle's motionless hands and charged, stabbing her in the thigh. Dirt spilled out of the wound, and Megaera howled. She slashed around crazily and caught me in the ribs. I smashed into the nearest wall, struggling to get up. This time, Megaera charged towards Jaz. For a moment Jaz's eyes seemed to shine. She looked like another person-another woman. She raised her arms and an invisible wall seemed to block Megaera from her and us. The monster turned into a ball of light and floated upwards. Jaz collapsed. Ms. Jones gasped. She slowly walked and swept up to us in her dress and brought the smell of fresh lavender to us. "That-that was-never mind. You are to come with me, girls and boys. You guys are, well, special."

"But where exactly are we going? And why are we special? Isabelle here needs help!" I demanded, this time, my mouth flew open without me knowing.

"Isabelle, well, she's-" Ms. Jones looked at me sadly, "but my dear children, you must understand that staying here won't do any good to her. As an answer to your question, there is a summer camp for, ah, special kids like you. Isabelle will be taken care of."

That pretty much said it. All I wanted right now is Isabelle to wake up again. If that means we're going to that strange random summer camp, sure, we're heading there straight away.

"Lead the way, please." I sighed.

Ms. Jones broke into a grin and almost too eagerly and gestured for us to follow. Charlie Anamelechi Zam gathered Isabelle in his arms. Amy looked offended. Amy wasn't offended, she was furious. She was about to burst and have another fit. Charlie looked at her and to avoid another fit, he signaled another boy around our age to carry Isabelle. He gently dropped Isabelle and passed her to the other boy. He then, held Amy's hand as they walked behind us slowly following. We walked out the front door in pairs. Ms. Jones took us around a wild spinning path and within a few minutes, there was no path, only occasional trees and animals. After walking a while, we saw a piece of plain land with nothing on it. No animals, no trees, it was completely empty. No other campers. Ms. Jones stopped.

"We're here." Ms. Jones announced.
