Ichigo's Twin Sister

Chapter 29

Ichigo POV:

Why is it so dark? Why can't I see anything? Did I defeat Aizen? Where's Miyuki? Is everyone okay?
Suddenly I heard a beeping sound. I feel something wet on my right hand. I tried to open my eyes but it's difficult. When I finally opened them I was almost blinded by the lights. I look to my left and see that there's a maschine next to me. I realize that I am in a hospital. I look to my right and see Miyuki. I think she was asleep but my sudden movement must have woken her up. She looked at me and had a shocked expression at first. I noticed how red her eyes were and that he must have been crying a lot since there are still some dried tears on her cheeks. She was really pale and looked really tired. She also looked a lot skinnier than when I saw her last time and not in a good way.
As I was about to say something she literally jumped on me and hugged me really tight. I was very confused. Then I heard her sobbing. I felt very weak but I managed to wrap my arms around her as well.
I was at loss for words so we just stayed like that for a while. She was hugging me so tight as if her life depanded on it.
After a while she let go and calmed down. She looked at me now with a happy expression. I missed her smile.
"Wh..at happend, Miyu? Did we defeat Aizen? "
"Ichi-nii...you have been in a coma for the last month. The cost of defeading Aizen. I was so scared ..but I knew that you wouldn't that you wouldn't..."
She teared up again and couldn't finish what she wanted to say.
I was in a coma for a whole fucking month?
"Please don't cry Miyu. Look, I am fine. I'm sorry for causing you so much pain."
"Baka. Why did you have to play the hero, damn it. If you would have let me help you seal him then the damage wouldn't have been so bad."
She quickly whipped away her tears. Now I understand why she was looking so awful. I looked down at my hands frustrated.
"Because it's my duty as your big brother to do so." I finally replied with a genuine smile.

Soon after some doctors and nurses came in and consultated me.
Then a whole drama started. I can't even believe how worried I made everyone.
My father and sisters came to visit and then my friends. Orihime started crying and hugged me which really surprised me.
After that almost every captain of each squad came to visit. Rukia and Rangi, too. Apprently they are now a couple. Everyone was happy that I was fine and I was fine but something seemed off. I can tell that something isn't fine.

A week later I was discharged and I was able to go back home. Home sweet home. To my surprise my dad stopped acting like a clown. Everyone seems to have changed even Miyu.
"Oh man, I can't wait to start beating up hollows again. I miss it."
"Haha, I should have expected that."
Not long after that Kisuke came to visit.
"How are you, Ichigo?"
"I'm all good. I can't wait to get back into action."
Suddenly Kisuke's expression changed completely. Miyu and i looked at him confused.
"Listen Ichigo. I'm sorry but you have to give up being a soul reaper. You lost your soul reaper powers in the fight with Aizen.
"Come on. This is not the time to be joking like that." Miyu said
"I'm not joking...I'm sorry Ichigo."
I just couldn't believe my ears. I was so shocked that I stood up and left. I started running and running until I ended up in a park. This can't be true. It just can't. Damn it.

Suddenly I notice a kid who was running from a hollow I jumped in front of him and wanted to transform when it hit me. I don't have soul reaper powers anymore. Then Miyu appeared out of the blue and killed the hollow.
"Are you okay, Ichi-nii?"
"Yeah..."
After we made sure that the spirit kid was okay we started walking home.
"Why did you ran away like that Ichi-nii? There must be something that can be done  to restore your powers, don't worry" she tried to cheer me up. Damn it earlier I felt so useless....

Miyuki POV:

As soon as we got home, my brother went straight to his room. I don't think that I have ever seen him so lost. I figured that he wants to be alone so I put my jacket back on and headed to Kisuke's place.

"Miyuki...what a pleasent surprise. What brings you here?"
"You know why I am here. There's got to be something that we can do to restore his powers."
Kisuke looked away.
"Say it."
"Theoretically there is nothing that we can do."
"But?"
"But there is a legend about a similar story. But it might not be true since twins as I said before are something rare in the soul society."
"Skip to the point."
"The legend contains a way of how a twin can restore another twin's powers. "
I started smiling.
"But the cost of it is losing your own powers or worse death."
My smile immediately faded away.
"And there is no guarantee that it will work."
"I don't care. Let's do it. Please, Kisuke."
"Miyuki... I don't think that your brother and father would-"
"You are not allowed to tell them anything. Please Kisuke...you have no idea how broken Ichi- nii is because of it. I don't care about the cost just it has to work."
He thought about it for a while
"Are you really sure?"
"Yes."

....

One more chapter to go. Will Miyuki die and the story have a tragic end? Maybe...maybe not ;)
