We met and sparked,
A sudden flash in the dark.
Startled we kept away.
But quickly drawn, we swayed.
The spark crackled and grew,
Fueled by the passion of two.
Flame to fire it bloomed,
Heat licked and smoke plumed.
Terrified yet transfixed,
We knew one of two was next.
Into ashes we'd be scorched,
Or into a phoenix brought forth.
