"Clary, y/n" you hear a confused voice ask and the clicking of heels coming from the stairs. Clary stands and offers her hand to help you up, which you eagerly accept, "Captain Vargas" Clary greeted. You simply waved.

"It's two in the morning. What are you doing here so late?" the Captain asked. Clary gave you a look as if to say follow my lead. "Uh, um... Luke said he'd, uh, drive us home if he was still here" Clary lied. Way to think on your feet Clair bear.

"Still doesn't trust those cabbies, huh?" the Captain joked "well, he's in the middle of an interview. It could take a while." she told us. You stammered a bit "cool, we'll wait in the cafeteria" you also lied. The captain held out her hand to stop you guys "hey, uh... is there some sort of problem?" she shrugged "guy trouble?".

"Yeah, sure" Clary said "Guy trouble, it's, uh... something like that". The two of you turned as if to leave and you heard the clicking of the Captains heels on the stone floor as she walked away. You peaked your heads around the corner "come on" Clary whispered headed for the stairs. You followed her.

You looked over the railing Clary beside you as you spied on Luke. He was sitting at his desk in front of him was a women in an orange dress and a man in all black. The man in black (haha MIB) spoke first "the minute we found out Jocelyn Fairchild was alive, you were easy to track" you heard Clary whisper "Fairchild?". Yeah, wasn't your last name Fray? The man continued "turns out you and Jocelyn were never that far apart. The circle has her now. It's just a matter of time until we catch the daughters" that's when the women chimed in. "you can have them. If you give up the mortal cup". Mortal cup? Why does that sound familiar, like the heirloom?

Luke folded his hands and looked the two strangers in the eye "I don't care about them. They mean nothing to me" Clary gasped, you narrowed your eyebrows "Kill them all if you like". A single tear fell down Clary's face, you felt the warm sting of tears threatening to spill but you clenched your fists and willed yourself not to let them fall. "My people want the cup" he continued "why do you think i've been hanging around here all these years? Now when I find the cup..." he rose from his chair the two strangers standing to match his height "i'm gonna keep it and you can tell Valentine and the circle that".

He sent them away and Clary sat down leaning against the wall of the rail you kneeling beside her. While she cried you kept clenching and unclenching your fists. What was going on? You didn't understand half of that but what you did you still didn't. Luke was like a father to you and to Clary. How could he say that? It was like the world turned upside down. And anyone else wouldn't but for some reason a small part of you still felt you could trust him. Could he have been lying to protect you guys? But, what if he wasn't? You were just so confused and you wanted the world to stop. For it stop long enough so that you could just breathe.

Once again you were snapped back to your cruel reality. This time by Clary breathing heavily and muttering something about mom. All of the sudden she stood up and ran for the exit. You stood up to follow her looking back at Luke one more time then chasing to catch up. You pushed the heavy metal bar on the door only to be greeted by rain because what other weather would accompany this wretched day. You weren't wearing much and the rain soaked through what you were. The ice cold water drenched your hair, trickled down your spine, and left goosebumps all across your arms. As the piercing freeze overtook your senses you raced down the stone steps in pursuit of your sister.

You both ran towards home Clary yelled for your mom once you were close to home. You both stopped, in front of you was a puddle but not just a puddle of rainwater. In the puddle there were large pools and swirls of a scarlet, of blood. Together you raced inside fearful of what you might find.

"Mom" Clary yelled into an empty shop sobbing at the sight. You looked around tears now streaming across your face. Everything was in ruin. The glass cases were shattered, lamps and stools broken, random items strewn chaotically on the floor. With no mom and no Dot to be found.

"MOM!" Clary screamed into the emptiness falling to her knees, her body wracked with sobs. You were shaking a bit trying to stop yourself from going into the some state. You took a deep breath and tried to wipe the monsoon of tears off your face before kneeling and wrapping your arm around Clary. "Clary breathe you need to breathe, then we have to go it isn't safe" you said she took a shaky breath, then another until her sobbing stopped. She stood up and grabbed an axe that was on the table.

"Come on, twinkle toes" she said trying to appear strong by using one of your childhood nicknames in such a dark situation. "Alright, Clair bear" you said while standing, you walked over to her side. A clap of thunder made Clary yelp and normally you would have laughed... normally.

You both went up to the apartment which was in just as bad shape as the shop. "Dot" you heard Clary say you turned and also saw her. Clary dropped the axe but you picked it back up feeling more secure in this house of horrors freak show with a weapon.

"They took Jocelyn" Dot said. "Who took her?" Clary asked slightly trembling, you couldn't blame her for all you knew you were to. Weather you had an axe or not.

"Rogue shadowhunters searching for the mortal cup" Dot answered taking a step forward. You didn't know what that was but you did know Dot sounded weird. And how come she was still here? Right now your senses were screaming at you to run that this wasn't safe and you had no idea why. It was just Dot.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Clary asked.

"Think, Clary. Did your mother ever talk to you about a cup? A very important cup." Dot said walking closer to where you were standing. Clary stayed put you decided to back up a bit. "I-It's gold, almost like a chalice" Dot described.

"No! I don't know anything about a cup, Dot" Clary stammered "Maybe one of the antiquities downstairs?"

"No, no, none of those. Think, Clary. This could save Jocelyn"

"I can't think! Someone kidnapped my mother!". You watched them talk trying to figure out what was wrong with Dot, something was but what.

"You know more than you think you do, Clary Fray" Dot seethed before her face split in four like those alien things at the club. That thing was not Dot. Clary grabbed a piece of glass and aimed for it's stomach. Not-Dot fell to the floor the rest of her changing from a Dot look alike to a full on monster with spindly limbs and jagged teeth.

The thing got up and lunged for you next, you moved out the way as best as you could but it nicked the side of your shoulder. For such a small wound it burned as though your entire shoulder had been drenched with pure hydrofluoric acid. You would have guessed poison if you weren't busy trying not to die. You hefted the axe over your head with both arms since one was on fire and threw it with more strength than you thought you possessed at the creature. You hit it's arm and left it stumbling toward the coffee table. Clary looked at you with disbelief.

Your victory was short lived. While she was looking at you Clary failed to actually move. The monster jumped for her your hit only slowing it down. She moved and fell the monster struck her shoulder near the collarbone. You had no weapon and your arm hurt to much to help, all you could do was watch. It backed Clary against a beam that's when you saw blondie from the club come up behind with one of those glowing swords and impale the creature.

"What, no 'thank you' for saving your life?" he asked Clary, he looked at you eyebrows raised as if to ask you that to, before turning back to Clary. "Careful that demon got a piece of you" he told Clary cupping her face in hands. You would have slapped him but your arm hurt and the world was starting to spin you could feel your energy draining. You would have fallen but you were focused on what he said 'demons' that described it perfectly in your opinion.

"Demons?" Clary asked blondie.

"Yeah, what did you think that miserable creature was?"

It made me more miserable than I it I'm sure you thought

"I, uh... I thought it was Dot" Clary answered him. Are they having a moment? Your thoughts were all cloudy and it was harder to focus. You grabbed your arm where the 'demon' got you the pain making your head throb.

Last thing you remember was blondie saying "demon venom", Clary collapsing, and thinking damn Clary I lasted longer from that venom then you did I'M ALPHA TWIN! And Dude that's my sister! Then black nothingness.
