Teacher: Alright class sidle down. It's only a project it's not like they're going out for battle or anything. Like I was saying this project is very easy all you have to do is write what you did over the summer simple as that you can have fun with your partner or do it in a group I don't care, as long as you get it done and send it to me I don't really care what you do. One more thing before I let you brats go. As of today our newest members that will be joining The Fairy Tail guild are. RINNG RING RING* The final bell rings dismissing the class.
Teacher: Alright you brats scram out here enjoy your summer, live life to the fullest and remember be safe out there especially to our new Fairy Tail members who will embark on a brand new journey. Enjoy guys.
Levy: we did it Lu!!! We made it into Fairy Tail!! Aren't you excited?!!
Lucy: Yeah I am I'm super excited! All my work has finally paid off we are now proud members of Fairy Tail!
Levy: hey Lu, are you going to talk to Natsu? You two are partners for this project.
Lucy looks down at her hands. Lucy: I should shouldn't I? I mean what do I have to loose right?
Levy: That's the spirit come on I'll go with you!
Both Levy and Lucy go to where the rest of the group is and Lucy approaches Natsu all shyly and afraid on how Natsu might react.
Lucy: he...hey.. Natsu. Natsu looks up at Lucy and can help but admire the gorgeous blonde that is standing in front of him. As Natsu stutters to gather his words.
Natsu: hey...hey Luce..
The rest of the group: Luce?????
Lucy: how have you been? It's been a while?
Natsu: yea...yeah it has I'm good how about you?
Lucy: I'm great! We finally made it into Fairy Tail like we said we would remember?! Lucy notices that she is getting to excited and she tries to tone it down a bit. Lucy: I'm sorry about that.. Natsu chuckles at how cute his celestial queen is acting.
Natsu:it's okay I'm excited too we finally made it.
Gray: hey don't get to close to her flame for brains.
Natsu: what do you mean?
Gajeel: you mean you haven't heard the rumors about this chick?
Natsu looks at both gray and Gajeel with a confused look. While Lucy just looks down as she knows all to well the rumors about her self.
Laxus: Come on Natsu you can't be that dense can you.
Gray: The rumors about her are that she beat Yukino senseless in order to obtain all 12 zodiac keys. She even tortured her into retiring from being a wizard.
Lucy: That's...that's not true!!!!
Lucy looks down with tears falling down her eyes and running down her cheeks. Natsu notices this and just looks at Lucy as he feels helpless and can't do anything to protect her from getting hurt.
Gajeel: Listen here blondie if you even think of betraying Salamander I'll come for you!
Laxus: Not just him but me as well!
Levy: that's enough Gajeel! Don't threaten Lucy like that!
Mira Jane: she's right Laxus don't you threaten her she's going to be joining Fairy Tail with us. Those are just rumors I'm sure Lucy is a sweet and loving girl.
Lucy: no....they're right. I did all those things to Yukino... there's no use in denying it. Like you said they're rumors right might as well go along with it.
Lucy looks up at the group as her eyes fill with more tears causing everyone to stop except Gray.
Gray: Get the hell out of here! Natsu could find another partner for this project he doesn't need.....
Natsu: ENOUGH!!!!!! Natsu slams his fist on the table incinerating it, his body covered with a red fire aura his eyes crimson red full of hatred. Lucy recognizes this feeling, this heat, the anger.
Natsu: What the hell do you guys know about Lucy???!! You know nothing!! What do you know about me?!!! Nothing! So shut the hell up and leave Lucy alone or so help me by the name of my father who past away I will burn all of who threaten Luce! No matter if they're my friend or foe.
Everyone stays quiet as they see the anger and hatred leaking out of Natsu. As his flames keep on burning and turning everything near him into ash. Natsu grabs Lucy's hand and begins to storm out of the room leaving everyone in shock as they have never seen Natsu react like this. But Lucy has. Lucy has seen this only once, five years ago. As Natsu and Lucy leave the classroom everything around Natsu begins to either melt or catch on fire.
Lucy thinks to her self: This flame...it burns everything around him except me..this flame actually feels warm and loving. Lucy then looks up at Natsu and sees a tear fall from his eye.
Lucy thinks to her once more: not again...I hurt you again didn't I Natsu...
After about 25 minutes of walking Lucy finally speaks up.
Lucy: Natsu my house is in the other direction..
Natsu: I know...but I want you to come over for dinner tonight.
Lucy blushes and smiles.
Natsu: I'm sorry..
Lucy looks up.
Natsu: I'm sorry about what happened back there I...I just got so angry all of sudden I don't know why..
Lucy: it's okay, I know what they were saying where some pretty harsh things but I'm okay I'm use to it.
Lucy smiles as a single tear falls from her eye and runs down her cheek. Natsu notices and stops walking and with his right hand wipes the tear away form Lucy, causing her to blush.
Natsu: Don't lie to me. I know all those rumors must get to you, people thinking that you're some kind of horrible monster when in reality your the sweetest most loving person in the world.
Lucy blushes even more and looks away.
Lucy: Sheesshh Natsu since when did you learn how to be so charming. Lucy giggles. Natsu blushes and looks away.
Natsu: I really hope she likes the surprise I'm bringing her. Natsu scratches the back of his head.
Lucy: she who?
Natsu: You forgot already? How harsh. Natsu laughs.
Lucy: hey what's so funny I'm serious I have no clue who you are talking about Natsu.
Natsu: you'll see when we arrive. It's a surprise after all. Natsu gives Lucy a big grin.
