Isn't it crazy how one moment life is one thing. And then suddenly it becomes this strange twisted game. I don't remember what it was like. One moment I'm smiling..breathing...alive. Then the next, I'm hurt, bleeding. My back aches. A small tornado runs up and down the coastline of my spine. I can taste iron. It pours out of my mouth. Invading my taste buds. Though I can't see. It's all a blur. Red and blue flash through my sights. My ears are pulsing. Sounds of screeching or screaming pound through and through.
They say that once you start to die all your memories flash before your eyes. And that your heart starts to ache for all the things you've never done. They say that you regret all your life decisions and that you pray for forgiveness. They say sometimes you have an out of body experience, and that you can walk through any memory you want. Some would say that they see the other dead walk around them.
But as I lay there dying. None of that happened. I was simply in pain. So much that I couldn't comprehend that I was in pain. My eyes felt like they were about to fall out. And my knees felt like they were blazing in an open fire. It felt as if vultures had started to tear at my flesh. I was slowly becoming tired. I could feel myself slowly melting.
My mind was numb. I couldn't find the strength to tell myself that I was okay. That I was going to be okay. Because in that moment I simply wanted to die. I was ready to accept death. Then suddenly it's dark. I think of nothing but the black paint I drown in. Then I awake. I haven't grasped the fact that I am alive. But I can still feel myself bleeding out....
I can hear hushed whispering. Though it doesn't seem like it should be hushed. It feels like they are screaming for me. A white light invades my eyes. Slowly my pupils start to adjust. Something with a plastic feeling slides over my face. Once more my eyes close, and I feel myself fall into a deep sleep.....
