As I awoke I noticed I was on a cold metal table. I sat up and looked around the place I was at. Wherever I was looked like a lab, then foot steps came from somewhere behind me and I whipped around to see who it was. Fear went through me as I saw the two turtles from before standing in front of me. In terror I scooted back until my back hit the wall.

"Don't worry, we won't hurt you." Said the taller.

"I-I don't trust you." I stuttered and clenched my fists.

"I promise." He said and looked me in the eyes and he looked very serious, but my gut told me to run.

"Get away from me." I snapped and stand up.

"Please, we don't want to hurt you. I mean it. Now sit down before you hurt your leg, it's broken." He said again and started to walk toward me and I instantly reacted by bolting for the door and running out of the room I was in.

The fear in me started to intensify as I saw two more turtles. Suddenly one of them ran up to me and before I could even think about what I was doing I shot up and kicked him in the face. The turtle cried out in pain, I saw blood pouring out of cuts on his cheeks and nose.

"Why did you do that?" He cried and the other turtle ran up to him.

"What happened?" He asked the one bleeding and moved his hand off of his face. He shot a glare at me and I bolted to the exit of the place.

"Wait!" I heard the one in purple call, but I refused to listen I kept running until I tripped over my own feet. I looked behind me to see him following me and I quickly stood up and continued running and fell over after only a few more steps. The adrenaline in me had ran out and pain started to go through my leg, but I had to keep running. Those turtles were probably going to kill me or something.

"Wait!" I heard a shout from behind me and I instantly shot up and practically flew toward what was ladder and probably the exit of this place. Wait, I am flying! How is that possible?

"Leave me alone!" I screamed as I felt a hand grab my arm and I kicked at them and they cried out in pain and they let go of me. Quickly I climbed up the ladder, ignoring the pain in my leg.

"No! Don't go up there! If you're seen on the surface-" One of the turtles shouted and I whipped around to see them and they had a look of legitimate fear on their face.

"If I get seen on the surface what will happen? I'll get to go home?!" I snapped at the purple masked turtle.

"You're not human anymore!" He said and I narrowed my eyes at him. What was he talking about?

"What?! Of course I'm human!" I retorted and went to push her the manhole up.

"Stop! You don't know what you're doing!" He shouted and pulled me down.

I kicked and thrashed, but he managed to pin me to the wall. With the last ounce of my energy I shoved him back. Before I could do anything two of the other turtles pinned me to the wall. My attempts of struggling were easily stopped due to the fact they were much stronger than me. The purple clad turtle walked over to me and looked at me.

"Who are you?" I asked and narrowed my eyes.

"Well, I am Donatello." The now named Donatello replied, "Now who are you?"

"I'm Cassidy. Now I want nothing to do with you mutant freaks. Just let me go!" I demanded.

"You're one to talk. Seeing as you're a mutant yourself." Said one of the turtles pinning me to the wall.

When I looked over at him my stomach dropped. My arm was covered with feathers up to my elbow and on my back I noticed a wing. I looked over to the other side and saw another wing, but this time my arm was fused to it and my entire arm was covered in feathers. That's when I noticed my feet were talons. Now my heart was pounding out of my chest and my breathing quickening.

"What did you do to me?!" I screamed at the turtles.

"We didn't mean for this happen." Donatello explained trying to calm me down, "We didn't even want you to see us on that fire escape last night. This was all an accident."

"Well then fix me! Make me normal again!" I demanded.

"It's not that simple. Your DNA is stuck like this and, I've only done this once and that was difficult enough." Donatello explained.

"Then what I'm I supposed to do?" I asked, defeated.

"Stay with us, I guess." The third turtle said.

"I guess so." I said and they finally let me go.

"Let's go back to the lair then." The one in the red mask said and started to walk back to the place I ran from.

The other two followed. So did I with my head down. I'll never get to see my family again. What ifs started to go through my mind. What if I had just walked into my house? What if I just gave him that container of ooze? What if I hadn't taken the fire escape to my apartment?

What if that turtle in the red mask never attacked me in the first place?
