I sat in the corner of the lab my eyes watering. I'll never get to see my family again now that I'm a mutant. Not seeing my sister again is something I could care any less about, she never liked me and I never liked her. But my parents and little brother? I'm going to miss them so much.

"Cassidy, I'm really sorry about what happened. This is all my fault." Raph said and sat next to me. Rage boiled up in me. How dare he think that he can speak to me after what he has done?

"Just leave me alone." I cried and looked away from him.

"I said I was sorry!" He half shouted at me.

"I said leave me alone," I snapped at him. "You have no right to speak to me after what you did." Tears began to rush down my face and I began to cry out of my anger and sorrow.

Raph stood up and walked away from me, leaving me to cry. A wave of guilt rushed over me as he walked away. I shouldn't have yelled at him like I did, he was trying to apologize and I just lashed out. Quickly I looked up only to see him walking out of the lab. Now my chances of making up with him were lost.

I stood up and walked out of the lab, well limped seems like a better word, my leg is still pretty messed up. When I looked out of the lab, Raph was on the couch, he was looking at the T.V with a guilty and angered expression. Slowly I limped over to him then let out a soft sigh.

"Hey Raph." I said a bit softly not sure how he would react.

"What do you want?" He said in a slightly angered tone and I took a step back shyly and let my hair fall over my face. (Yes she still has her hair, I'll probably make a drawing over her my cover, but I can't draw :T)

"I just wanted to apologize. I shouldn't have lashed out at you." I said quickly, refusing to make eye contact with him.

"Well..." Raph began and I grew nervous about what he was going to say, "it's okay."

"Good." I said and let out a soft sigh of relief.

Mikey suddenly ran in from the entrance with a stack of pizza boxes in hand and he shouted, "Guys! The pizza's here!"

Leo and Donnie quickly ran to the kitchen followed by Mikey who was making an effort not to drop the wobbling stack of pizza. Raph stood up and ran into the kitchen behind Mikey. I stood there for a moment not sure how to react at how quickly this was all happening. That's when I realized how hungry I was and flew into the kitchen, literally.

When I had got in there they had already went through a whole pizza and where opening the second box. I quickly grabbed a slice before anybody else could and tried to take a bite, but I couldn't get a bite because of my new beak and only got a face full off pizza sauce. The others didn't seem to notice my failed attempt at eating the pizza slice so I tried once again to take a bite, but I could not get a piece off of it. I tugged at the pizza with my beak and got a small piece off. A smile creeped on my face in victory and I continued to eat the pizza that way. By the time I had finished the slice all the pizza was gone.

Suddenly a large rat walked into the room, he was dressed in a kimono and towered over me. Although his appearance was intimidating in a way, his friendly look contradicted this. He gave me a small nod then walked over to the fridge.

Leonardo leaned over to me, "That's Master Splinter. He's our Sensei."

Michelangelo butted in, "He taught us to be ninjas dawg!" He swung his nunchucks in an intricate pattern to add emphasis to his point.

"Thank you for the introduction, my sons." The now named Splinter said, now with a wedge of cheese on a stick in hand, he then looked at me, "I hope you wish to stay with us."

"I do, sir. This is all very sudden. Being changed into a...mutant," I begin trying to refrain from using the word 'freak', "but I do owe your students for helping me even after the trouble I've caused."

"Trouble? Trouble isn't even a good enough word for putting our entire mutagen search on hold!" Raphael shouted at me. I frowned, I thought we were in good terms, but clearly he has some issues to address with me.

"Raphael. I know you're unhappy that your mission had to be but on hold, but you do not need to take it out on others." Splinter said in a stern tone.

"Hai, Sensei." He replied and looked down.

"Now, you must continue your search for the mutagen. The more time it's out there. The more you risk more mutated civilians." Splinter said to the turtles and they nodded and hurried off.

I watched them leave as thoughts raced through my head. What things have they been facing? Are they all upset with me? Guilt began to consume me, but I was able to hide my negative emotions.

"Come, Cassidy. We have much to discuss." Splinter said, interrupting my thoughts and he walked out of the kitchen. I followed him, not sure what to expect.
