When He Shouted
____________________________"Hey! Good Morning" Avantika said as she saw Nandini barging in the house while she stood in the kitchen pouring the black coffee in her favourite mug to kick start her day.
On not getting any reply, she walked out of the kitchen to see Nandini drenched in coffee, dumping her bag on the sofa mumbling something that wasn't audible to her.
"Oh my god! What happened to you?" She asked as she walked closer to her but Nandini didn't reply anything, she just dashed towards her room banging the door on the way.
While on the other hand Avantika was shocked to see the unusual site happening in front of her. Nandini being rude to anyone is the last thing she ever expected to experience.
She had always seen Nandini be this sugar coated sweet person, who was always loved by everyone. She had never seen her raise her voice or be rude to people or be irritate enough to start breaking the house.
Well, Everyone has something or the other hidden facts about themselves. But she just knows if someone managed to get Nandini angry, they messed up big time.
The scenario inside Nandini's room was no different, she was still mumbling something or the other, her Punjabi had made it's way out. She literally cursed everything that came in her way, banging the door of the almirah as took out her towels.
While Avantika stood outside listening to all the noices she made on her way to the bathroom to take a shower. Heaving a sigh of relief, Avantika went back to getting ready for her office.
----------------------------
Nandini came out of the washroom, holding a towel in her hand, feeling a bit relaxed than before. Her irritation had settled down but it wasn't for long as all the thoughts came rushing back to her all at once.
She didn't want to feel this but the irritation pricked at her she struggled against this anger. Her eyebrows were kit together and her arms hugged her torso as random thoughts ran through her mind making her more and more agitated.
Her anger has been something, she had feared whole of her life and yet it is something she never found a solution to until someone walked into her life. He not only made her life happy but also helped her direct these random thoughts.
Following his advice, she went towards her cupboard opening it to take out her diary along with a pen. Taking a a few deep breaths she sat on the mattress writing all of her thoughts.
She has always been like this, keeping her emotions inside of her be it anger or sadness. She was the elder sister after all, she had a younger brother who looked up to her.
No doubt everyone was her friend, she laughed and talked with everyone through out the day but no one knew what went inside of her mind. This fact sometimes did affect her. It made her tear up thinking how no one understood her, how no one knew what she was feeling, how everyone believed the show she puts up everyday, how no one can see beyond those walls she had around her.
But she still, she just wasn't able to let other people in even though she wanted to. She was scared and reason was unknown to her.
Her eyes tears up a bit as she writes about how she lost her control again, how she let her anger affect her again. Though she didn't act on it, but she still felt guilty for feeling that anger.
Writing has always helped her in the past and it again performed it's magic. She took a deep breathe of relief as she smiled to herself closing the diary after writing everything she felt, she lied down on the bed, closing her eyes.
"Dear Diary...
Yeah, I am back again so soon. And here I thought after coming to Chandigarh I won't be needing you much. I know that sounds rude but I don't like using you. I don't like being this vulnerable.
I don't know why these small things affect me so much. I mean it was just a stranger shouting at me. This is not at all a valid reason to be angry. There is always a reason behind everything right, so I should have valid reason behind what I feel.
But I never do, this time as well. I understand his point of view. I understand that maybe he might be in a hurry or maybe he had a bad morning and he took it all out on me. But then why am I feeling this anger, when I completely understand him. Shouldn't I be able to let go of this?
I know I am no where at fault, it was he who shouted at me and left but his actions can be justified and that gives me no reason to be angry right?
Anyways, I am feeling better now. My anger is all settled now. Though I still don't have answers to my questions but like always you managed to calm me down.
So, Thank you...."

While across the hall, the mood has been completely different the whole day, what started with exasperation and outrage has come to an end with realisation and guilt.
Manik had been on leave for more than a week, So it was obvious he would face the wrath of his boss, who has left no stones unturned in making his life a hell in the last two years since he got the job of a web developer in "The MediaMind Advertising"
His relation with her hasn't changed even a bit since then. Maybe because he isn't like those who just go around doing whatever she says, he has his own opinions and isn't scared to share them. The only reason he is still a part of the company is that he is talented and hardworking.
Last week Manik's family suddenly decided to go for a family trip as their little bundle of joy, Rehaan, the son of his elder brother was turning one. So he had to take emergency leave from office that, let's just say his boss didn't like that much and gave him loads of work to complete before coming to office, which he did complete after coming back on sunday night.
And because he worked until late night, he wasn't able to wake up early in the morning and had to run here and there in the house completing his daily chores. But when he finally sat in his car to leave for office, he noticed he had left the files, he had worked on the whole night in his room only.
Being frustrated, he hit the staring wheel with his hand and bolted out of the car, towards his home. But on the way, he happened to collide with someone and that someone's coffee just spilled all over him because of the collision. And him being the Short tempered man, shouted at her.
But he realised his mistake as soon as he entered his house and took a deep breath realizing he wasn't going to make it to the office. He went out to apologize to her but looks like who he supposed to be his new neighbor had already made her way back to her home leaving the corridor empty.
He felt really guilty for taking out his irritation on her, she didn't deserve it. Moreover it was their first meeting, even the previous neighbours didn't like him. Although the reason for their hatred was not Manik, it was his older flatmate Kabir who has now shifted back to Delhi because he was done with his college and is now waiting for placements.
But his encounters with his previous neighbors had been really awkward, he was always apologizing to them for Kabir's pranks.
And therefore he decided to have a good relationship with the new ones as soon as they left the place. But looks like it's going to need efforts and this time it will be his fault.
Later in the evening, he decided to go and workout for a while in the society gym. After working for hours on the job he was given, his muscles felt sore and moreover a few hours of work was left that can be completed easily before dinner.
Also he didn't want to break his routine of working out every day in the evening, those muscles don't build up on their own afterall.
But seems like today's workout was going to be more profitable as he saw something or rather someone from the glass window of the gym as he ran on the treadmill.
