15 || Teammates

Boruto: Naruto next generation ep 12

It was the next day, I am now much better and my body didn't feel like collapsing by my every rough move.

I stretched on my body, getting ready for the training exercise we were about to do. Unfortunately for me, I have been teamed up with Mimi, dog girl, And Kuro, the quiet one.

"I can't believe I got teamed up with you" I teased Mimi.

"Shino saw you were bad and teamed you with me so you could learn from my fantastic skills" Mimi fired back.

"Says the girl who ranks fifth" I spoke and smiled arrogantly at Mimi as she gave me a glare.

"Don't get too comfortable on you number one ranking, cause I'm going to take it from you" Mimi threatened and her wolf pup, Shiromaru, yipped.

"Sure, dog girl" I teased.

Mimi growled before turning to Kuro who has been watching us in silence the whole time, "Kuro, can you believe this girl?" Mimi exclaimed out.

Kuro glanced at me and our eyes met before he quickly glanced away, Kuro was transferred to our class after Mitsuki. Our class didn't do anything major for his welcoming party, since he requested so.

All the girls agreed that he was one of the most handsome boy in class, he had dark brown eyes and black hair with a white stripe in his bangs. His eyes sharp and fair skin, he was taller than most of the boys expect for Iwabe.

"Next group is Sarena, Mimi and Kuro" Shino announced, we approached the start line and waited for the go signal. A loud bang was heard and I ran towards the obstacles, I jumped up the wall and smirked as I continued on the next.

I glanced back to look where all my teammates where to see Mimi struggling to climb on the logs and Kuro right behind me, I quickly stop and so did Kuro.

"Let's help Mimi" I say to him, he glanced back at the girl before nodding. We ran back to Mimi and grabbed around her arms before pulling her up.

"Why are you helping me?" She asked us.

"What do you mean? You should never leave a comrade behind" I utter out, she smiled slightly at me before we continued with the exercise.

We jumped down from the last obstacles and Mimi sat down on the ground as she heaved heavily, "I'm sorry, because of me the time went out before we could even finish."

"Nonsense, you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, it's just, I have asthma" Mimi replied to me.

"Oh."

The training exercise is finally over and us students gathered together to ramble on about our results.

"I really thought my team had it" Sarada mumbled as she sighed in disappointment, I smiled slightly and patted her on her back.

"Everyone, quiet! For this practice assignment, Everyone fails!" Shino declared.

"Huh?! But I finished on time!" Someone exclaimed out.

"If all three don't finish, you fail. The reason is because genin work threes. In other words, they fundamentally take action withing three-man teams. For success in a mission, teamwork is essential. Turning your back on a comrade is out of the question" Shino explained to them.

"Good thing you guys didn't abandon me" Mimi whispered and hugged around my and Kuro's arm, a small smile formed on my lips.

"When you graduate, you will fall under our command. We'll come by occasionally to observe you for the purpose of forming teams" Konohamaru announced

"Well, don't brood over it. For now, just try different formations" Moegi spoke.

"That's all for today's practice!"

I waved goodbye to Mimi and Kuro as I exited the academy, I stretched on my arms when suddenly someone slung their arm around my shoulders.

I glance to the side to see Sarada and Chocho, "What is it?" I asked.

"Do you want to join us for a burger?" Chocho asked.

"Hm, I crave ramen though" I told her.

"Yeah me too actually" Sarada agreed, we agreed on getting ramen and started to head to the restaurant.

We entered and placed ourselves near the window, we ordered our food and started to chat about everything and anything.

"You're so lucky" Chocho spoke as she shoved a piece of pork in her mouth, I sipped the broth from my spoon and glanced up at her in confusion.

"Why am I lucky exactly?" I asked.

"You got teamed up with Kuro!" Chocho exclaimed out and had a dreamy look in her eyes.

"Yeah, this one time. Maybe you'll get teamed up with him next time" I told her.

"I hope so" She mumbled.

"I don't get it, what's so great about this Kuro?" A familiar voice asked, I glance to the side to see Inojin, Shikadai and Metal sitting at the table besides us.

"What's great about him? Well, he's handsome, he's smart, he's mysterious, he's talented and he's not immature like you guys" Chocho ranted on.

"We're not immature" Inojin defended them and scoffed.

"Yeah sure" Chocho muttered and rolled her eyes which resulted in Inojin mumbling some incoherent words under his breath.

"What did you say?!" Chocho snapped at them and enlarged her hand, Sarada shot up from her seat and had to try to keep Chocho from punching Inojin.

"What a drag" Shikadai uttered out before he used his shadow imitation technique.

I watched the ruckus in silence and also enjoyed my ramen in peace, I wasn't fond of being involved in drama but I do like to watch it.

I let out a chuckle as Inojin apologised to Chocho and offered to buy her some chips as a peace offering.

I have decided that updates will happen on either Friday or Saturday, since for some reason I always get inspired to write at night. And I loose sleep because it and the thought that I might disappoint you if I don't update on the right day.

So, I decided to give me two days max for an update to just make sure I get enough sleep.
