"Hello! We couldn't help but notice you and our leader had a bit of an argument!" He chirps.
"Uh.. yeah" Tom says avoiding eye contact wile he scratches the back of his head.
"And we were curious of why he allows you to back talk him!" He says with a smile then a female joins in "your really brave! No one ever yells or talks back to red!" She says with sparkles in her eyes, she was impressed.
"Uh.. thanks..? I don't know why? I suppose it's because we have known each other for such a long time" Tom says looking away.
"Wow you've known leader for a long time?! How long ? Toddlers? High school? Early 20s??" A male questions.
"Uhh toddlers..." Tom says looking back at them, there eyes widen and look even more curious and surprised.
"Wow! That explains it!" The male says and the rest join in on agreeing. "So why did you join the army?" The female asks making the others shut up and listen, they also wanted to know.
"Uh.." Tom didn't know if he should tell the truth or made up a lie, he thought they seems nice to he decided to tell the truth.
"I didn't want to actually, I am forced to be here.. I'm here against my will by that commie, he fucking kidnapped me!" Tom says clenching his fist just thinking about tord made him upset.
The soldiers had wide eyes and were silent this really surprised them. Then one spoke up "then what do you do here?Did red give you a job?" A female asks.
"Uh I guess I'm his secretary for some reason" Tom says crossing his arms.
The girl makes a 'hmm' sound then response. "If he gave you that maybe he wants you close to him and with him most of the time! But why?" She says puts her hand on her chin in a thinking position.
The group starts giving there theories, "maybe your useful!" A male begins "Red always has a reason maybe its your intelligence or your strength but you probably have some type of use for him to keep you with him most of the time!" The male says this send chills down Toms spine.
'He's right.. it's probably because of Mara' he thinks looking at the ground. They take notice of this "hey it's okay! Since he has known you for so long it's probably because of that too! Knowing him for that long means even if your use expires he'll still want you around!"The female says with a warm smile.
This made Toms eyes widen 'my use will expire? They don't understand we hate each other! Once my use expires he'll get rid of me..?' Tom thinks looking at the ground his hands shake.
'Wait.. why should I care?! I'll get out of here before that' he thinks he stops shanking and has a determined look on his face.
The female raises an eyebrow but soon smiles "oh how rude we haven't introduced our selves" she says with a smile smile nudging the girl on her right and the male on her left.
They blushed a tiny bit in embarrassment. "I'm Elliot" the male says as he waves "and I'm Charlie" he female says, then the male next to her speaks "I'm Sammy" he says with a smile the middle one then speaks "and I'm Chloe" she says with a warm smile.
'I'm not going to remember there names..' he thinks then Chloe speaks "and what's your name?" She says already knowing it but wanted to be polite.
"Um I'm Tom" he says putting out his hand for a hand shake, she gladly takes it and shakes his hand. "Nice to meet you Tom" she says looking into his eyes.
Once the hand shake end they both pull away. "So what happened to your eyes?" Chloe asks raising one of her eyebrows.
"Did you lose your eyesight in a epic battle?!" Elliot says starting up the other to ask more, "or freak accident!?" Another asks.
And one by one they asks and ask then Tom speaks "um.. no it was a laser gun...I got shot with laser in the eyes" he says scratching the back of his head, "it was never tended to so I got cancer from it" he says avoiding eye contact.
There eyes widen in amazement Tom wasn't expecting that reaction, "Wow! You must be pretty strong to be still kicking after that!" One says "no wonder red leader wants you by his side your valuable!" Another says.
Tom chuckled at there amazement but was a little uncomfortable but to him this was better then talking with that commie, then he realized that tord hasn't came back yet and it's been awhile.
Tom starts to look around a bit worried 'were did that commie go?' He thinks.
Then he sees the horned hair man standing near were you pick up your food with two other men, he was talking with them but his eyes were glued on Tom.
A chill went down Toms spine 'has he been staring at me the hole Time? Probably to make sure I don't escape...there goes any chance I have to getting out of here right now' He thinks, he made eye contact with tord from across the room.
Tord smirks and makes the two men standing with him hold his food , he starts to walk over to Tom with the two men following close behind, Tom gulps 'shit' he thinks.
The soldiers take notice of Tom looking away at a man, they realize there leader is walking over there so they quickly turn around and start to talk to each other ignoring Tom.
Tom watched as they did so and watched as tord go to the table, the men next to him were Paul and pat,
They put the food down on the table and the bottle of alcohol down, Tom took the alcohol instantly.
Tord took his seat across from Tom, and the two men sat next to each other on tords side.
Tom waved awkwardly at them "um.. hey" he says remembering them. "Hello! How have you been doing ? Have you made friends?" Pat says with a warm smile.
"I've been fine.. and no ? I'd say more of acquaintances" he says boldly he just met them he wouldn't call them friends , there nothing like Edd or Matt.
"Hmm Alright But it's a good start" pat chirped.
