She looks happy, confident in her own skin.
She moves with grace, her eyes filled with hope.
A hope that has pushed her to believe, to trust.
And then the hurt start.
Each hurt leaving minor bruises.
Ones which can be barely noticed
But the spirit sees
It feels.
Quickly she forgives, again and again.
The doubts start.
Self crucifixion.
Self doubt
The soul looses its spark
The hopeful eyes disappear
No one knows when but they are gone.
Crushed so hard a smile is faint.
She doesn't say it but she sees it.
Her excitement for a new day is lost.
Lost to all the discouragement.
The unintentional crushing.
Not meaning to disappointments.
Lack of thoughtfulness.
Uninvolvement.
Dismissals.
The soul is crushed.
