This is amazing! MC reminds me of MC from To Be A Virtuous Wife. Her main priority is to keep her life and live as comfortably as possible. She's completely indifferent to the ML and considers him an employer, at most. But MC is really loving towards her family, servants, and her dog (ML). She's a really gentle and kind person, as seen from how she treats her dog like her own child, though she hides it under her tough exterior.
The story is from ML's POV. ML is the typical hatable scumbag emperor; he's a good emperor and is very intelligent in managing the country, but in the beginning/before the story starts he's a complete scum with how ruthless he is to his women. He used his other women including MC to balance power in the court (because he's an emperor and is paranoid) and to shield his actual favorite woman (the antagonist).

For one, to prevent MC's family from getting too powerful, he had been giving her birth control poison to prevent her from giving birth to an heir. He had been completely using her while pretending to favor her, though MC knowingly allows this to keep her and her family's life.
It's really satisfying to see him getting his world view shaken (faceslapped, basically. This is a dream come true payback against this kind of emperor MLs lolol) as he lives as a dog. With truths getting revealed left and right (since no one guards against a dog), he even realized how he was too blindly trusting to some and over-paranoid to others. He gets humbler as time passes, and falls in love first with MC (meanwhile MC remains unbothered).
---- It's about a story on how the dog of an emperor slowly know and understand the FL. He discover the true masks of the people around him. With this discovery he will see things in a new light.
Because of the pampering and love by the FL to the 'dog emperor' she will tame him into a cute little puppy. ----- So amazing... it is realistic story about harem.... dont hate the emperor becouse he is not like other male lead who pure and doesnt like to be touched by women, he is realistic emperor who has many wife and children and his first love before he meet with the female lead... but the story really make the emperor heavily pay what he beliefe and view of his harem.. hahaha... ----- Spoilers

Mc doesn’t fully trust the ml, and always puts on a facade when dealing with him. Ml throughout the novel tries to thaw out her heart. Some other ladies try to get with the ml, but his heart is steadfast with the mc.
He dismisses all his concubines near the end when the mc is pregnant
Mc gets pregnant near the end, but is distraught due to thinking about the future of her child.
FL still doesn't trust him, even after she gets pregnant - she thinks its another one of the ML's schemes
She yells at the ml, and is angry at him. The mc doesnt fully trust the ml till near the end, where she gives love a chance.
In short....when ML found out that FL was pregnant
ML was of course happy but the FL was terrified because she thought ML was scheming again. ML was happy and was like, I'll make him crown prince, make her queen etc. etc. and the FL just went into total shock and distress - begged him not to do that to the child. She tells him he can do anything to her but leave the child out of it (she thinks he is still scheming and using their child in his schemes). ML was in shock and finally realised how much stress his doting and change of behaviour has been stressing her. He then found a way to send all the concubines away and made sure her and the child was protected.
______Funny Scene
Dog!ML was locked out of his and MC's room after a bath and could hear MC moaning, telling her servant to go harder. ML froze and thought 'Is this why she never fell for me? My rival is a girl!?' and started barking at the door to get them to let him in. He entered and was entranced by MC, he started drooling. MC laughed at him and he finally noticed his drool and ran away in shame.
