The Outing

Rosie's P.O.V.:

I shape-shift out of a penguin and sign out of x-box. Time to call Squid. I thought he'd never ask me out. Or.... wait? Is this a date or an outing? Squid would never ask me out. He probably just wants to talk about Wednesday's video. I go with that because my dreams have never come true before. I pick up the phone and call Squid.

"Hello?"

"Hey Squid, t-this is Rosie."

"Oh hey Rosie!" He sounds so confident. I know I'm stuttering and acting all nervous. I've never been good with crushes or boys.

"So, you told me to call?"

"Yeah, do you want to meet at Starbucks in twenty minutes? Don't eat, dinner is on me." He is such a gentleman. I sigh. Man, I wish he was mine.

"Sure. See you there."

"Bye." He hangs up.

Shoot! I forgot to ask if it's fancy or casual. I go to my closet and throw stuff around my room until I find a good dress. It's plain blue, no sequins, ruffles, or any embellishments whatsoever. I put my hair down and get a blue bow headband. I put on the headband and grab the curling iron. I curl my hair and grab a pair of black heels and my black leather bag. I leave for Starbucks.

I get there and Squid is already there. He's wearing a tuxedo with a Stampy and Squid tie. "Hi Squid!" I say. "Rosie?! Is that you?! I didn't recognize you! You look...... AMAZING!!" I giggle. He orders a black coffee and I get a skinny vanilla latte. He pays and we leave with our coffee.

"So, where are we going and why am I here?" I ask. "We are going to Oceanaire, and you are here because I am taking you on an......... outing. It can't be a date because we're not dating. Unless you agree to be my girlfriend." OMG! Oceanaire is the best seafood restaurant around, and he just asks me out! "I guess I could be your girlfriend. I've got nothing better to be." I giggle hysterically. We walk into Oceanaire.
