6.5 seconds started it all

Part 27 (short update)

When we got home from the airport it was starting to get dark. Me and Taylor went up to our room and got everything unpacked. I looked over and Taylor had fell asleep so I kissed him on the forehead and got "dressed". I put on some of Taylor's boxers that he never wears and Matts hoodie he left in our room.

I went up to the roof top to my favorite spot but someone was already there. They were standing on the edge of the roof. It was Matt.

"Matt get down from there before you fall." I demanded.

"I want to fall. I want to jump. I don't want to be a waste of space anymore." He said quietly.

"Matthew Lee Espinosa listen to me before you make the wrong decision and jump. You are not a waste of space. You are my best friend my world. If you jump I'm right behind you because I could never live in a world with out you. Think about the boys. Think about Kenz, Payton, Kaitlyn, Saige. Think about Rachel and your family and your crazy little dog. Think about me. Think about your fans." I said, sobbing.

"I can't." He whispered.

"MATT LISTEN YOU CANT LEAVE ME I CANT LIVE WITHOUT YOU. IF YOU LEAVE I LEAVE AND THINK ABOUT HOW BAD THAT WOULD HURT SO MANY PEOPLE. MATT JUST COME DOWN WE CAN TALK ABOUT THIS I CAN HELP YOU IVE BEEN THROUGH THIS BEFORE IT GETS BETTER I PROMISE. COME DOWN AND HUG ME. COME DOWN AND COME INSIDE AND WE CAN PRAY AND TALK AND HELP EACH OTHER MATT PLEASE." I yelled sobbing harder.

"Only under one condition." He said quietly.

"Anything." I whispered.

"You stay by my side. No matter what happens you stay by my side to help me regain my strength."

"Matt I will forever be by your side. You are my BEST friend." I cried while Matt stepped down off the ledge and hugged me. This wasn't just a hug it was the longest most meaningful and amazing hug.

"Let's get you inside and you're sleeping with me tonight." I grabbed his hand and felt something warm. "Matt is that blood?"

"I'm sorry." Matt whispered. "I had to do something."

"Next time come to me and don't you ever harm yourself again. What's doing this to you Matt?"

"The stress of trying to please everyone all the time."

"Matt you worry about YOU and only YOU."

"Mal?"

"Yes Matt?"

"Don't tell anyone."

"I can't promise you that."

"I know eventually I'll tell Rachel and the fam but not right now."

"I understand."

"Thank you."

"No. Thank you. For staying with me."

"I love you."

"I love you more." We hugged one last time before going in and washing up. This was another one of those hugs. I buried my face into his neck and sobbed with him.

My best friend is still right here on earth by my side.

Woah intense but short update because why not?
