It's Time

SUDDENLY...

I hear screams coming down the hallway...I immedately jump out of bed and ran down the wooden floor to Akira's room.

"What's wrong"
"I think it's time"
"What?!"
"The baby is coming"she yells.
"Didn't you say two more months"
"The baby is early okay...call Mrs.Anderson right now!"

I ran down to Mrs.Anderson's room,as I arrive I begin banging my fists onto the door.

"Mrs.Anderson please wake up Akira needs you"

Then the door swings right open.

"Zoë what's wrong?"
"It's Akira...."I say breathless.
"What's wrong?"
"She's about to give birth"I say dragging her in the hallways and all the girls wake up to see what's going on and some were in Akira's room standing by the door.We waved ourselves through the crowed group of girls and made our way to Akira.

I bent down and held her hand in mine.

"Breath....breath...breath"I said while squeezing her hand.

"Akira honey listen to me,you are going to have to control your breathing and push at the same time"
"Okay"she said breathing in and out.

"What's going on here!!"Miss Darell said walking into the room."Everyone off to bed right now"

They all cleared and went to their rooms.

"Push!!!"Mrs.Anderson said.

She pushed and pushed for what seemed like an hour Akira has been sweating.

Few minutes later the room was filled with loud screams of a crying baby girl,Mrs.Anderson took the baby for a bath in the other room.

"Well done it's a girl"I said giving her a gentle hug."Now take a rest and I will see you tomorrow morning"

Next Day:

I went to Akira's room again and she was still asleep with her child wide awake in the cart.I gently picked her up and began cradling her in my arms she was such a cute beautiful girl.

"Am surprised she didn't cry"
"Oh I didn't notice you were already awake"I said as I placed the baby girl in her arms.
"If only Jared and my parents could see how cute she is"
"She is quite something"I said holding onto her tiny little fist.
"So does this mean your going to leave earlier than expected?"
"Am afraid I have to and Zoë you have encouraged me to also go back to school and not care what anyone is going to say about me"
"Am so glad I inspired you"I said with my eyes still stuck onto the baby.
"Zoë how do you feel about me making you the godmother?"
"Really...?!"I said jumping up and down.
"Yes"she said with a smile on her face.
"Oh thank you thank you"

"Akira your family is here"Mrs Anderson said with a smile plastred on her face and two people walked in.
"Akira sweetheart"
"Mom!"Akira said with tears in her eyes."How did you find out I was here?"
"Oh I might have called them"Mrs.Anderson adds.
"Oh thank you so much,I didn't expect my parents to know about it"
"We are still your parents we were so worried about you,all we wanted for you was a better future"
"I also want that mom,am going back to school"
"Am so glad and we will make sure this child gets raised with or without a father"Akira added.
"She has a family,her grandparents"Akira's dad said.

"Did you inform Jared about the baby being born?"
"No,they don't need to know"
"But mom...."
"But nothing Akira,I have already had enough the neighbours were talking about it;community everywhere I go people are asking so it's enough I have had enough of this"
"Sorry I just asking"
"Forget him and that family,now let's go home"
"I haven't introducted you to Zoë my friend"

"Mom dad this is Zoë Adams she is now the godmother of my baby"
"Nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs.Irwin"
"Same here darling,when did you move in here?"
"I moved her a few days ago"
"Okay then Zoë am afraid that am going to have to leave with Akira"
