Jake: Me and Kiri went back in fourth between our houses to do studying, a few weeks had passed.
I don't think I've ever smiled more.
We still had to be careful when we talked at school~so far...I don't think anyone has spotted us.
I have to be careful with my phone and my friends. Because Kiri's contact is there-and many selfies of us being goofy, painting, nerf battles.
We had a science test yesterday and Mr. Alvich was handing them in right now. I gulped nervously and took the test from Mr. Alvich's hand. He smiled at me. "Excellent job Mr. Kingly." He says. Wait. Really?!
I looked down at my paper...I got an A!
I looked at Kiri excitedly and showed her my paper.
She smiled widely.
After class, I walked over to Kiri excitedly. "I can't believe I got an A!" I exclaim. "What can I say? I am an excellent teacher!" Kiri says, smiling. We both laugh. "Mr. Alvich told me I don't have to tutor u anymore." She says, something inside me falls with sadness. "Awwwww really?? That sad-! I like hanging with you...we can still do that right...? Sometimes?" I ask. She looks down, looking hesitant. I understood why. "I...u-uh...sure. But you know if we get caught..we won't have an excuse." She says. I just lift her up and throw her into the air a little. I was happy that our friendship doesn't have to end. Kiri blushes and laughs, "put me down Kingly! Your gonna attract more attention..."
I set her down. "Your right sorry." I snicker."JAKE?! What is this?!? Why are you talking to this FREAK!!?!!? Are you alright?! Is SHE bothering you?!" Mia's voice rings as she stomps up to us. Kiri's face is struck with fear and mine is too. "n-no...I was just m-making fun of how incredibly light she is...?" I stutter nervously.
I knew Kiri would understand...so she wouldn't be offended. Besides I would never make fun of her. EVER.
Mia grins a grin of wickedness. Why was she my girlfriend again..?
Mia loops her arm around mine and starts to drag me away. I glance back at Kiri. She just stands there, staring at me.Kiri: "YOUR GONNA PAY FOR LOOKING INTO MY BOYFRIEND'S EYES!" Mia yells at me, her strong perfume making me eyes water. She slams each hand on each side of me, cornering me against my locker. "I-I wasn't..." I whimper. "LIAR! TO ADD TO YOUR UGLY FREAKINESS CAN BE THAT YOUR A LIAR!" Mia growls. Her friends grab my back pack and dump out my stuff. They throw it around, stain it, and beak it. "You will never have a boy like Jake! You WILL NEVER have anyone!! Your a pathetic ugly freak! No one would want you!" Mia snickers. One of her friends grabs my hair and yanks me to the floor, making me cry out in pain. "S-stop!" I cry. The people in the halls don't look over at us, they keep walking, for there own good. One Mia's friends kick me in the side. Insults come crashing down on me like a hurricane.
Loser..
Freak...
Pathetic...
Waste..
Ugly..
Geek..
Weirdo..
Aberration..
Grotesque...I don't even realize when they leave, I'm huddled together in a corner, hugging myself close. My belongings are scattered everywhere. I'm crying in silence.
"Kiri?! Kiri?!? Where are you?!" I hear Paige's voice growing nearer. I look up with my tear stained face. "KIRI!" She spots me and runs to me. "What happened?!?" She says, inspecting me as a mother would do. "M-Mia—she saw me and Jake h-hugging..." I sob. Paige hugs me and holds me close rocking me back and fourth.
I don't think Mia had even seen my contact in Jake's phone..or the pictures of us...
I was gonna die......Jake: It's Lunch, Mia slides next to me picks up my phone and takes a selfie with me. She unlocks my phone to look at it—-I don't care for a moment then remember me and Kiri's selfies. "Wait-No!" I say, but it's too late. She shoves my phone in my face. "What are these?!" She snaps. The phone too close to my face to make out the picture...but I see the blurry of orange that is Kiri's eyes. Oh no.....
I felt sick to my stomach.
I'm too shocked the answer.
"What's what?" Carson ask, sliding over. "Why are they're pics of you and that freak eye girl on your phone?""Her eyes aren't freakish." I mumble.
"Have you been cheating on me?!" Mia cry's attracting attention. "No!" I whisper.
"But you've been hanging out with another girl more than me!" She cries.
Well I'm sorry if she's not some stuck up I'm the best and a queen all of you bow to me girl like you! Unlike you she's real!!
But I didn't say that. I just looked down, and rubbed my aching head.
Carson takes my phone from Mia and looked at it, and says "You have this freaks number too!! Jake What is wrong with you?! Why are you associating with freak?! A LOSER?! Have you gotten hit in the head?!"
Shut up! Just shut up! She's no freak nor Loser!
From the corner of my half covered eyes—I saw Kiri enter the cafeteria with her friend Paige. Mia—Instantly left the table, and her friends at different table followed.Kiri: Me and Paige got our food and sat down at our usual table. "Hey Freak!" I heard someone shriek at me. I turned to look and was sprayed with juice, Paige got sprayed with it too. "That's what you get for hanging with her boyfriend!" One of her friends laughed. "Your ARE SUCH AN ORANGE EYED FREAK! A FREAKING WASTE OF AIR!! AND SO ARE YOU—YOU LITTLE PIMPLE !!" Mia laughed wickedly at me and Paige. She glared and grinned at us, with her friends and the turned away, walking back to there table.
Something inside me snapped. You could talk to me that way...NOT PAIGE!
Then something else snapped something Jake had told me a few weeks ago.
"Stop playing victim, fight back"
I stood. Grabbed my tray, that had mash potatoes and soup on it. I walked behind Mia and her friends. "HEY MIA!" I yelled. Everyone is the cafeteria stared at me in shock. Mia turned and I threw my tray at her! She screamed as the soup and mash potatoes got in her perfectly blond hair. Paige grabbed a water bottle at a nearby table, walked up to me, and we glanced at each other and glared and grinned at Mia. We squeezed the bottle, and water came spraying, soaking Mia and some of her friends. I walked up to Mia, looking her square in the eyes, Paige behind me. I smacked Mia in the face, and she stared at me shocked.
Me and Paige then left the cafeteria walking tall.
