"Look who finally decided to show up."
Elijah chuckled darkly as Jasper approached him, the sound of the tress rustling soothing Jasper.
The heretic was silent, taking a deep breath as he stared down Elijah.
"Do you know why I avoid you like the plague?"
Jasper rose an eyebrow as Elijah grinned.
"Do enlighten me."
The original smirked, half expecting Jasper to breakdown in tears once again.
"You scare me Elijah."
Jasper stated simply.
"How could a man pretend to be so in love then turn around and leave? What else could you possibly be hiding underneath that facade of yours? How could I believe I knew everything about you? You never told me anything unless you thought it was necessary and I believed you like the lovesick puppy I was."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Elijah rose an eyebrow.
"As much as I hate to admit it Elijah, I do not know you. I only know what you've allowed me to, nothing more nothing less."
Jasper laughed shaking his head.
"And what does that have to do with anything? It's not my fault you're not as intelligent as you once thought."
Elijah glared, if Jasper didn't know any better he'd say the Original was angry.
"I'm no longer scared of you Elijah. I'm no longer going to avoid you or be put down on you,"
Jasper smiled taking a step closer to the original as his voice fell into a whisper.
"As far as I am concerned, you're merely a stranger."
