It's been about 3 months and the boys finished A Hard Day's Night a while ago. The film was a huge success, and everyone enjoyed the production progress.

John and I are still together, although he's been away touring and recording new albums quite often recently, so we haven't really seen too much of each other. Violet can now sit up on her own and laughs quite often these days, especially at John. Well, on the rare occasion she sees him.

Laurel and George are still madly in love, even though both of them are busy. George with the band and Laurel with university. They're going on holiday soon, and they've invited John and I, I want to go but I don't have anyone to look after Violet.

Overall, everyone is doing really well. Including Maureen and Ringo, they're actually engaged and are also madly in love.

Paul, on the other hand, is not doing so well. He and Jane broke up after the rumours of him cheating were revealed to be very much true. The press even found out about him cheating on me, and they took my side, which was surprising. I expected them to say that he must have cheated for a reason, or something like that, but no.

I hardly see Paul these days, but I don't need to see him a lot to know that he's literally deteriorating. He doesn't look after himself anymore, and I can't help but to blame myself. His hair is always messy and slightly greasy, there's always bags under his eyes and he's never without a cigarette or a beer in his hand.

I can only assume he's slacking with his music too, from the amount of times that John bitches about him on a nightly basis over the phone, or even when we're going to sleep. He's never on time to rehearsals and recordings and is very irritable, and from what I can gather he argues with John at every opportunity he has. Sometimes he even shows up drunk.

Anyway, it's March now, and it's another boring day in which John is at the studio and I'm home alone with Violet. Laurel's got class at uni and of course I'm not going to call or write Lucy after the whole situation with her so I'm very much alone. Of course I adore spending time with my daughter, but she can't speak, so it can get lonely.

I give Violet a bottle and put her in a high chair and decide to clean up around the house with a record playing to kill time, I've still got four hours until John is due to come home. As I vacuum, I look at the clock and sigh. Time seems to go as slowly as humanly possible.

I hear a firm knock at the door. I'm not expecting anyone, and no one normally visits out of the blue, so I have literally no clue as to who it could be.

Uncertainly, I walk over to the hallway and open the door. I'm greeted by a faint yet strong smell of alcohol, and see Paul standing at the doorway. I blink at him, no clue what to say. He does look horrible, just like John has told me. He looks like a zombie, his face is pale with a red nose and dark rings under his eyes. His hair is unkempt and he has a blank stare with his mouth slightly agape.

When he doesn't say anything for a few moments, I go to shut the door. When he realises what I'm doing, he wedges his foot in the way,

'Nance!'

I sigh, and open the door again,

'Yes, Paul?'

'Can I come in?'

'Shouldn't you be in the studio?'

He looks at me without saying anything.

'Please'

I step out of the way, showing that he could come in. He walks in slowly, clearly nervous. He hasn't been here for a long time. He notices Violet in her high chair, and I see his body tense up slightly.
