On the Bus - Rook X Male Reader

The battle bus honks as everyone prepares to load in. You see all the other people load in. Nog ops, Flytrap, and many more recognizable faces, but one catches your eye the most. A skinnier girl with a weird tactical jacket over her everyday clothing. She seemed like a no nonsense type of lady, simply by the way she jumped into the bus with a proud look. You wanted to get to know her so you tried your best to weave your way to a close seat next to her.

The bus lifts off and begins to fly over the main island. She sat with a very focused and ready expression as she inspected her silenced handgun. You just watch as she made the gun dance in her fingers, twirling it with boredom. She noticed you looking and kicked your foot, making you let out a small 'ow'.
"Get lost, I'm not interested in teaming." She said, not even looking in your direction.
"I just wanted to let you know how badass you are, geez you didn't have to hit me." This caused her to look over at you with a small blush, but she quickly hid her face with her hand.
"W-why thank you. No one has ever said anything like that before."
"Well I'm not 'them'." You said looking at her as she put her hand down.
"I'm Rook."
"(Y/N)."
You both locked eyes as the bus driver told everyone they can start to jump. You both didn't jump until the last second over snobby shores. As you both landed you looked at each other.
"I know I said I wasn't interested, but want to team up?" She asked as you grabbed her hand.
"Absolutely." You responded as you began your search for loot.

20 minutes later and it is the final circle. 3 people remain. Rook tries to shoot the last guy but gets sniped in the left shoulder. She let out a moan of pain and fell off the stairs she built. You run to her aid and build cover for her.
"Are you ok? That was a helluva shot." You hold her cheek and began to bandage her arm.
"Yes I'm fine, now go get him."
You do as she says and go after the last remaining enemy. It was Black Knight. As he tried to rocket you, you shoot his side and cause him to fall to his knees. You walk up to him as he pleads for mercy, but your anger at him for hitting Rook fuels you and you shotgun his face, causing his head to go all over the Pleasant Park pavement. As you see confetti fall from the sky you run to check on Rook. As you get around the corner, she hugs you so tight to the point where it was hard to breath.
"You did it Y/N, you did it!" She said excitedly.
"No, you did most of the wo-" you were cut off by her kiss that you quickly melted into. She let go and look into your eyes
"I love you Rook."
"I love you too Y/N."

Rook isn't one of my favs but it was for a friend who really likes her. Up next will be Onesie.
