The next morning, I woke up to the bright sunlight shining through my window. It truly was the best way to wake up. I went to the bathroom, washed up, and threw on some jeans and my old Dallas Cowboys sweatshirt. I grabbed my Nikon d90, snapped a shot of my windows view and then ran downstairs. “Well, good morning sunshine,” my mom said while pouring milk into her cereal. “Hey mom!” I exclaimed with a grin on my face. “Did you get a good rest?” “Yes I did” I toasted a bagel and put some cream cheese on it then ate it. “Are you gonna go out?” My mom questioned. “Yeah, I thought I’d get some shots of Long Island and stuff.” I said while grabbing my camera and walking towards the door. “Okay, just be back for dinner.” I nodded and then headed out the door. I looked up at the sky and saw that it really sunny outside, yet it was a bit chilly. I walked on the sidewalk along the houses on my street, occasionally snapping pictures. I realized that I made my way to the city part of Long Island. There were stores along the sidewalk and people were having a good time. There were so many things to take a picture of! Everything was so special and beautiful in a way. I just kept walking and snapping as I went along. Suddenly, I bumped into someone turning outside of a corner. “Oh, oh my gosh, I’m so sorry!” I said while trying to get myself back up. “No, sorry that was my fault.” The boy that had rammed into me said. I looked up at him and I had seen the most beautiful person ever. Chocolate brown hair, deep blue eyes, and tan skin. Involuntarily, I snapped a picture of him right infront of me. He then laughed. About a second later, I realized how stupid and irrelevant that was. “I’m sorry, I don’t know why I just did that.” I said then nervously grinned. “Its okay” He laughed. “I-I just tend to take pictures of beautiful things—I MEAN!-“ “So you think im beautiful?” He questioned with a smirk. “Uhh, yeah, kinda. I mean…yes.” I admitted and laughed. We both laughed. “Sean, are we gonna go?” a boy behind him asked. “Yeah.” He replied. “Well It was nice to meet you…” “September.” I filled in the sentence. “My names Sean.” He said with a smile. “Nice to meet you too Sean.” With that, we both parted ways. I aimlessly walked around the shops still thinking about what had just happened. How could anyone forget that face?? It was impossible to get out of my head. Those eyes and that voice. I had already missed him. I reached into my pocket and reached for my phone. I then realized that I left my phone back in my room. Dang it! Instead of standing there and beating my self up about that, I started to head home. Although it was still early, I wanted to get home before the sun even started to set.
Soon enough, I made it back to my neighborhood. Once I was a house from my own house, I started to walk a little slower so I could rummage through my pockets and find my keys. Once I had found then I continued to walk. Much further ahead I could see a group of boys playing soccer in the street. I focused on one of them because they looked familiar to me. Then, It came to me…IT WAS SEAN. Before I could even think, he had turned around and seen me. It seemed as if one of his friends had pointed to me. I could see Sean wave to me and I automatically smiled and waved back. Then, I rushed over to my house, unlocked the door and ran in while closing the door behind me. “Sup Sep!” Steven called out. “Hey Steven!” I yelled while walking towards the kitchen. I joined my brother and sat down on the chair across from him. I set my camera down and started flipping through the pictures I had taken. “Did you get some good shots?” Steven asked while eating a fruit rollup. “Yeah, great ones.” I said while flipping still. “Can I see?” There was a moment of silence, and then I replied, “no.” “Why not?” He asked. “You just can’t.” Then Steven grabbed my wrist and tried prying my camera out of my hands. We were both yelling at each other and sharing a laugh at the same time. “Steven give it!” I yelled. “I just wanna see!” he hollered back as he yanked the camera out of my fingers. He sat back down and started flipping through the pictures himself. I just gave up. “Hmm lets see… road, sky, cars, stores—and wait a minute…who’s this boy in this picture huh?” He asked very animatedly. “No one.” “That’s definitely someone alright.” He chuckled. “Just someone I met! Okay?” “Gosh, so defensive.” He replied with a slight smirk. “Oh shut up Steven.” I said as I walked up to my bedroom. I set my camera down and laid down on my bed. I sat there thinking about what all had just happened. I met the most beautiful boy in my entire life, and he lived just a few houses down from me. How much better can this day get? Apparently, it could get even better. And it did. (to be continued…)
