(Peters P.O.V)

Miya and I walk outside the tent, to find the boys dancing around the fire.

"Boys, I've decided to play a game."

A chorus of cheers.

"It's called Target Practice."

I magic up a simple red apple, and throw it up and catch it.

"Keenan, go get that crossbow." I say, pointing at one.

He obeys and picks it up.

I move to the closest tree and lean against it, and put the apple on my head.

"Felix, dip the arrow in dream shade." I say

"What's dream shade?" Keenan asked.

"You see, it's a nasty poison really, as soon as it reaches our heart, you'll die." I explain, and Keenan's eyes go wide.

"What will you do with the arrow?" he asks

I raise an eyebrow.

"It's what you're going to be doing with it. Shoot the apple off my head." I say, and hand him the arrow.

"What's the poison for?"

"Motivation not to miss." I say

"You know, I've never shot one of these before, I could quite easily miss." Keenan says, trying to avoid the task.

"You'll be fine." Miya rubs his back, encouraging him.

Keenan lines up his shot, and releases the arrow.

I catch it right before it got my heart.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! I tried to tell you I couldn't do it, but..."

"What's there to be sorry about? I caught it, didn't I? There is training to be done though, however that is for the morning. Goodnight, boys!" i say, and walk into the tent. Miya follows.

"You almost gave me a heart attack back there." Miya exclaims

"What?"

"You almost got hit by an arrow!"

"But I didn't. And that's all that matters. Besides, I knew he wouldn't shoot the apple."

"How'd you know that?" Miya asks, intrigued.

"When he said he hasn't shot an arrow before, he's lying. He tried to kill me. But why?" I wonder aloud.

"Then why don't you go and bloody well ask him!" Miya shouts

"Because that's not how the game works!" I shout back

"Is everything a game to you?" she asks softly

"No, but whoever this person is, he knows I like games, and he also knows that I won't stop until I win."

"But what if he wins?" she asks

"He won't." I say simply

I then get into bed, and Miya does the same.

"Goodnight gorgeous." i say, and kiss her forehead.

"Night pancake." she mumbles, and we both drift off to sleep.

I wake up to find that Miya isn't next to me. I dress, and walk outside to the boys.

Breakfast consists of berries and nuts. I grab some and sit next to Felix.

"I don't trust Keenan." Felix says

"Neither do I."

"So why are you letting him stay?" He asks, shocked.

"Because he thinks he can play my game, and beat me."

"But doesn't he know? Peter Pan never fails." Felix grins evilly.

"Exactly. But he's about to find out."

I call Keenan over, and we walk into the forest.

"What are we doing?" Keenan asks

"I need to ask you some questions." I say, facing him.

"Ask away. I'm an open book." he smiles. I see right through it.

"Why are you here?"

"Nobody wants me. Nobody cares about me."

Lie.

"Do you have parents?"

"No. They died in an accident a couple of years ago."

"Do you still have feelings for Miya?"

"I don't know. It's complicated."

"Why are you lying to me?" I ask, frustrated.

"Ah, I thought you'd see through me." He grins. "You see, I came here for something, and I'm not leaving until I get it."

"I can make you leave, right now." I say through gritted teeth.

"Oh, but you wouldn't. You see, I know how much you like games. This is just one big game. And I know we'll keep playing it until one of us wins." Keenan explains, smiling.

I wanted to wipe that smile right off his face.

I punched his straight in the nose, and again on the side of his head, knocking him out.

"The game has only just begun."
