Sam started pacing.
He had forgotten that Ryan was still on the phone until he spoke, breaking the silence.
" I made her realize no one is there for her. That she is no one. I only gave her the pills she did the rest. Want proof"?
The phone clicked dead and an text message appeared.
Sam clicked on it but was not prepared to see what he saw.
Andy McNally, the strongest Woman he has ever met, killing herself. Slowing emptying the pill bottle and losing control of her her own body.
Sams eyes started to water but he blinked it away. Sam knew he would have to show Frank, it was what would be best ( see what I did there, frank best! Haha ok I'll stop now).
Beep beep beep
Sam dropped his phone and turned to the OR scene that was unfolding.
Andy was lifeless and limp.
Her heart stopped beating and doctors where doing everything they could.
"Clear" the doctor screamed as he used paddles trying to start her heart.
No result. Her Body had taken to much physical and mental abuse.
Sam pressed himself onto the glass, never taking his eyes off of her, not even when Marlo came waltzing in.
Marlo snaked her hand around Sam.
"So babe, now that this silly case is over, want to get that lunch now. This case wasted so much time that could have been spent on something really important ".
Sam could not believe his ears. He threw off Marlos arm and went off.
"HOW DARE YOU EVER SAY THIS WAS A WASTE OF TIME. DO YOU EVEN KNOW ME AT ALL. I LOVE ANDY. I DONT THINK I EVER STOPPED LOVING HER, I TRIED TO STOP. BUT I CANT. NOW IM STUCK UP HERE WITH YOU WANTING TO GO TO LUNCH WHILE THE WOMAN I LOVE IS DYING. DYING. I SHOULD BE THE ONE ON THAT TABLE, I MADE A PROMISE THAT I WOULD NEVER WOULD LET HER GET HURT. I BETRAYED HER AND DIDNT FOLLOW THROUGH. THATS PART OF THE REASON WHY SHE IS DOWN THERE NOT BREATHING. BUT NO YOU COME IN HERE WANTING TO GO TO LUNCH. LUNCH."
Marlo rolled her eyes, " you could have just said not now"
Sam squinted at her, trying to see if she was for real or not.
"Get out of my sight". He seethed.
She rolled her eyes and walked out.
Sam focused his attention Back to the OR.
Andy was flatlining, and had been for five minutes.
Sam fell backwards dizzily against the glass and faded to black, as a nurse came charging towards him.
