I was slightly awake and spread my arm out to touch Sam but he wasn't there, my eyes shot open and I jerked up. I looked at the bed confused so I stood up and walked to the kitchen, I seen there was a piece of paper on the counter.
Bea,
Went to go check on my house, come by if you want.
-Sam
I laughed to myself and got dressed. I had only been to Sam's house only a few times, it was big I guess I know why now. I hopped in my car and drove to his house.
When I got there the door was wide open. I got a little worried but pressed on. I poked my head in and called out for Sam.
"Sam?" I looked at the floor, there were rose petals on the ground like a trail. I smiled to myself and realized this is Sam trying to be cute. I followed the trail which brought me upstairs and into his room.
"Sam," I said in a singsong voice.
"Yes my cupcake?" Sam said from the room.
"Whatcha doin'?"
"Why don't you come in here." I opened the door to see a giant banner that said: Move In? I looked at Sam and smiled the biggest smile.
"So?" He asked.
"Yes! Yes! A million times yes!" I yelled. I ran over to him and jumped on him which made him fall on the bed. I hugged him tight and never wanted to let go.
A couple days later my apartment was on the market and I was moving into Sam's big place.
"I'm so excited! I finally have a kitchen you probably have never used! And Archie has so much room now inside and out!" I said excitingly.
"You're right, but look what else I made for you," he was walking me down one of the many hallways. "So this house has 7 bedrooms and of course we have no use for all of them I already use them for random stuff but one I made into your own little nook." He opened a door and seen my record player there with my records put in order by the ones I listen to most. There were posters on the wall of my favourite singers, it's like I was in heaven.
"Sammy!" I heard an unfamiliar man voice say from far away in the house.
"Ah shit. I didn't want you to meet these guys," Sam said. We walked out of the room and to the front doors.
"Wow! Who is this lovely lady?" The same guy asked. There were two more of them, they all dressed like typical guys who hangout at the beach all day playing frisbee. Each one was holding a case of beer.
"Guys this is my girlfriend, Bea," Sam said. He seemed embarrassed.
"A girlfriend? Yea right!" The guy said. I kept my mouth shut because I didn't even know what I'd say.
"Bea this is Chris, Tyler and Jerome," Sam told me. I didn't do anything to greet them just stood there.
"C'mon sugar tits, no one can resist the Ty-man!" The one on the left said.
"I'm doing a pretty good job aren't I?" I finally said.
"Go and get more stuff unpacked, I'll make them leave," Sam whispered to me. I kissed his cheek and walked into the first room I saw which was the bedroom. The banner was still up and I couldn't stop smiling. After a couple minutes Sam came back up.
"Sorry about that, they can be real jerks sometime," he said.
"Look, I'm not that girlfriend who tells you who you can and can't hangout with, so if you wanna go with them go ahead," I said.
"Trust me I don't hangout with those assholes willingly. I usually have a great excuse not to go." He smiled and I smiled back. We spent the rest of the day unpacking. Finally all the boxes were out and all my stuff unpacked. We just lied on the bed exhausted from the day we had that while Sam was in the middle of telling me something he fell asleep. I laughed at him and just cuddled up next to him and fell asleep too.
I woke up the next morning feeling gross, I took a shower but that didn't seem to help. When I walked into the room Sam was starting to wake up.
"Good morning my darling," I smiled climbing on top of him.
"Well hello gorgeous," he smiled.
"So I have a question. Halloween is coming up, are you the house that gives out small candies or big chocolate bars?"
"I don't know, I've never done Halloween here before."
"Any child that's special to you on this street?"
"No."
"Alright then we are the scary house." I was so excited but I didn't feel excited, my head was starting to hurt all of the sudden, I kissed Sam and went back to the bathroom. Thank god he didn't say anything because I couldn't hear anything my ears were ringing so loud. I moved over to the toilet because I could feel the vomit coming up. I started to gag until finally I spewed. I got up to go to the sink but I was so dizzy I stumbled over my own feet and ended up hitting my face off the sink. Of course when this happened I couldn't hear and I felt numb so I didn't feel the pain until later. I held onto my eye and seen blood on the side of the sink and in my hand. I just lied on the floor and all I could hear was the ringing, it felt like I died. I felt foot steps come into the bathroom, then warm hands on my cold clammy skin. I was still dizzy but I saw Sam and I could see he was yelling my name but I could barely hear. He sat me up and my head felt like a giant block of cement I put my hands on my head and the ringing started going down. Sam ran out of the bathroom and I already knew he was gonna call 911 so I gathered all the energy in my body and yelled.
"Sam, no!" He came back in and knelt down in front of me.
"What why? Jesus Bea your bleeding," he said grabbing my face. He looked at it then back into my eyes.
"I'm fine I just slipped," I said laughing a bit.
"There's no water on the floor."
"Well I kinda slipped on my feet." He laughed a bit then stood me up and sat me on the toilet.
"Lets clean this," he said. He started cleaning my head and all I could think was how close of a call that was. He almost figured out I've stopped taking my pills and that would have been the end of everything.
