Chapter 12:
Chris's POV
The bell rang then I quickly pack my stuffs, getting ready for my next class. I checked my schedule, music. Damn. Mary is going to be in the same class as me. What am i gonna do? Ignore her or just say hi, pretending nothing happen. i walked in the classroom and put my books down. Then i saw Mary coming in the classroom. I swiftly tear my eyes away from her beautiful blue orbs. Then i felt her gaze burning on my back. I turned and look at her with a smile, " Hi, Ma--" before i could finish my words, she cut me off. " Stay away from me, bastard," she said coldly, i nodded and turned away.I felt my heart shattering into a million pieces. She walked towards the end of the room and sat down, apparently she was trying to stay away from me. What am i gonna do, she will never believe me if i tell her i love her.
-Flashback
The key fits perfectly in the box, I slowly opened the box, there laid a book, Hensons and Gladstones Curse. I blew the dust off and opened the book and started reading.
Mr. Paul Martin Henson died at 1987, April 14, at the age of 36 because of murder done by the Gladstones family. Mr. Henson's mother, Georgina Parks, was a famous witch at the 1980s , she tried to revenge for her son, so she set a curse between the two family. Every year, the son and the daughter of the Gladstones had to win against the son of the Hensons. The son of the Gladstones will need to stay away from his sister, not letting his sister knowing that she has a brother. The brother will protected her sister from being killed by the son of the Hensons. Someone will die. OH MY LORD. I thought to myself. What if Thomas dies, what if Mary dies, what if.... I die......
I flipped to the next page and it said that every year the Hensons win, the daughter of the Gladstones dies. Every year the girl dies, i thought to myself. I flipped to the last page and the title reads, How to Break the Curse, it saids if the girl and the son of the Hensons fell in live, true love. They shall stand in front of the statue at the front porch of the Henson's mansion. If it's real love, the statue will collapse. If not, the girl will die within two days.
