The world around you was dark, perhaps darker than black. You sighed and stopped in your tracks, looking around. You were unsure how you managed to put yourself into these situations but you did, you were almost emotionless to it actually. You glanced around, feeling an unknown presence around you somewhere. You blinked, perhaps it was just you. The streets were painted dark with the endless night overhead. You looked up, no stars above or moon. Just a void of black. You kicked a rock forward, it bounced for a moment then gravity placed it back on the ground. You approached the side of a building your town had, sliding down against it. You hadn't noticed the security camera above you only stare at you, for a second you thought there was a guard watching but soon dismissed the thought. You perfectly knew who it was. It had seen you, It had followed you, It had guided you, now it wanted you. You let out a low growl, it rumbling your throat. You quickly stood up and continued to walk, ignoring how the screen of the electronic to follow you. You had learned about the dark past of the machine, you had learned dark ways from it such as simple murder and robbery which you never committed. You glanced your eyes downwards at the ground, the ground was chipped and looked largely broken. The world around you had happened. For the worse, of course, nothing about this phenomenon was good. The world loved machines, changing our lives it created chaos. Anomalies from other worlds arose and new overpowered the human race thanks to our own stupidity. You saw it happening before man even made such a thing called television, yet you were not old. You were quite young in full honesty. You made countless attempts to change the world around you for the better good but I was always replaced by something sinister.  The world had changed to robotics and now everything you turned to look at was either metal, glass, or some sort of electrical equipment. It angered you, how this thing had changed your perspective of the world. The only thing is it would be useless without you, so it stalked and followed. It was a vicious cycle.

You walked onwards, the soft sounds of your feet were really the only disturbance. You closed your eyes, feeling energy revolve around you as you decided you could wait the night out. You, though, wanted out of this hellhole. The town you which walked had put a border around it to ensure "safety" of personnel. Whoever came never exited, you being one of them. You turned and looked, in the distance was a large metal gate which no more than 7 guards stood. Those were killers, shooting whoever tried to escape. The city had learned to fear itself and turned into this.  You sighed, even better was that you had no home. The streets were clean though, keeping your hygiene fairly good. This town was good in some ways and bad the most. Whatever, it didn't matter. Nothing would change your urge of wanting out.
