Didn't See That Coming (Pietro Maximoff X Reader)

I ran through the city trying my best to avoid the robots that surrounded me. I blasted through a few as the surrounded me. I knew Wanda and Pietro were here, they were close. I could feel them. I tore apart one of Ultron's minions and was about to kill another when whisks of red surrounded it tearing it apart. I covered my face as the robot exploded. When I opened my eyes I met Wanda's tear eyed ones. She ran forwards throwing her arms around me. 

"Y/n! We thought you were dead!" Wanda cried when she pulled away. I smiled and pulled her in for another hug.

"Wanda, are you alright? Where's Pietro?" I asked looking around. Wanda took in a deep breath and pressed her ear, where I assumed a com was. 

"Pietro. Y/n..... she's here. She's alive." She said into it. I could hear Pietro's voice but not what he was saying. Wanda nodded and turned to me.

"I have to go help with the evacuation. Help keep Ultron at bay." She said. I nodded and hugged her once more before letting her go.

"Ok, ok, stay safe. Keep away the people away from the sides of the city and no one is to go on the bridge." I ordered and before she could react I sped off, taking a few more robots on my way. I stopped by an abandoned shop where survivors were hiding from the war outside. I helped them leave and more to a more safe building but as I was helping the last one, a blast hit my side making me fall to my knee. As I turned I saw about 6 bots standing over me, guns pointed at me. I was about to rise back up ti fight them but before I had the chance a blur of silver shot in front of me destroying the bots before either of them could do a thing. I smiled as Pietro stopped in front of me, a relieved expression on his face. I stood back up, ignoring the sting in my side and smiled at Pietro.

"Pietro I-" I began but was cut off by a pair of un expected lips, smashing themselves onto me. My eyes widened as Pietro wrapped his strong arms around me, pressing his body against mine. It took me a moment before I pressed back, our lips moving in sync. I snaked my arms around his neck as he tightened the hold around me, keeping me close to him. It was like the whole world had stopped and the only two people in this universe was me and Pietro. It was pure joy. It felt right. When we pulled away, due to lack of air, he pressed his forehead against mine. 

"You don't realize how long I have been wanting to do that." Pietro breathed out. I smiled and looked into his blue eyes.

"You don't realize how long I've been wanting to do that too." I joked back. He smiled brightly but before he could react the com system beeped on in his ear.

"Less kissing more fighting." Captain America's voice said aloud. I felt a blush creep over my face along with Pietro as we pulled away. 

"There's still people in the city." I said as I looked around. Pietro nodded and took a deep breath. I looked back down at my side where a fresh burn was sitting.

"Are you alright? When Ultron took you I-" Pietro said taking me back into his arms, cupping the side of my face with his hand but I cut him off.

"Pietro, I'm fine. I'm fine. We need to help. The robots their becoming harder and harder to beat." I said as I looked around the the flaming city. Pietro nodded and put his hand in his pocket retrieving a small device and handing it to me.

"It's a com. So you can keep in touch with the rest of them team." He said. I nodded and placing it in my ear and tuning into their frequency.

"The next wave's gonna hit any minute. What have you got, Stark?" Cap's voice asked.

"Well, nothing great. Maybe a way to blow up the city. That'll keep it from impacting the surface if you guys can get clear." Stark's voice replied. I felt my heart stop. They were going to blow up the city while people were still on it.
