Chapter Three: The Prosthetic Eye

The family all gathered at the kitchen. Footsteps sounded behind Allison and she turned to see Diego walking towards the door. "I guess I'll see you guys in, what, ten years? When Pogo dies?"

When he reached, she observed him and let out a chuckled in disbelief, "Not if you die first."

"Yeah, love you too, sis." Diego replied lazily as he shot her a look of disdain, "Good luck on your next film. Hope it turns out better than your marriage, huh?"

Allison rolled her eyes in frustration.

"A-are we leaving?" Klaus questioned the man. "Wait, time out! Have we all forgotten that we just witness a random woman reaching down the earth like a– " he paused and cursed to his side, earning everyone a confused look plastered on their faces, "like an angel." He finally said while closing his hands together and his lips twitched into a smile.

Silence fell between them and Klaus as everyone thought it through but none prevailed as they shrugged their heads and muffled between oneself.

"No, I'm leaving, me by myself." Diego began as he made his way to leave the room.

"And I need to see Claire," Allison stated.

"Oh," Klaus said, his brow furrowed. "Oh, well then, fabulous! I'll go get my things. Wait up Diego!" Klaus said, before he run away, and started to make his way to his room.

Klaus waited in the car in silence - with nothing but the sound of the wind howling as he observed Diego who was standing in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly he fell still as his breath caught in his chest, he knew this feeling deeply as his eyes narrowed towards his side and fixed his gaze upon a figure that seemed to seat still in the shadows.

"Waffles, huh?" He questioned as he could just make out the silhouette of the figure there. "You like waffles, right?" He asked his own brother who is no longer capable in breathing. The figure simply nod his head.

Then he turned to face Klaus and revealed his poignant eyes stared down at Klaus, "Have you seen her before?"

"I regret to say that I have yet to meet the princess Diana." He replied, watching his every move through dull eyes.

"No Klaus."

"Then what Ben?" He sound agitated as he rolled his eyes in frustration and a sudden thought strike him, "Oh, you meant the angel?"

"I was joking."

"Reminds me when I feel at the top of the world." He said dreamily. "with drugs, of course."

Ben rolled his eyes. "There was a moment, where she can see me."

Klaus turned to face Ben and for some reason he felt uneasy, but he wasn't sure why. He shrugged the thoughts of, "Oh Benny boy, you're so desperate to catch her attention." He let out a soft chuckled.

"That is not what I'm trying to–"

"Shh, Diego is coming back." Klaus hissed, trying his best to avoid his siblings from noticing that their dead brother is in the presence.

Klaus was a people-oriented boy and had always got along well with everyone, well almost everyone. Ben didn't know how Klaus managed to bring him back to life, perhaps it was one of his abilities – to be able to commune the dead. Ben knew that Klaus is more capable than just commune the dead, he knew he was very talented however, Klaus seemed to waste his opportunities with the constant drugs he consumed.
