A few minutes later Christ arrived and immediately sat next to Mella who was in front of me. Without having the chance to say my purpose for coming here, Christ had already spoken.
"You will not be able to find anything. They will not allow you. Whatever things can make you know they have blocked access. Your arrival here is a fortune because they cannot prevent you from entering this house."
I tried to stop him, "Wait a minute, can you explain it slowly?"
But Mella's words kept me silent, "Don't tell anyone..." she said that with a very pale face, and her vision was very fixed on me but I recognized the voice.
Christ looks very calm even though I'm sure the girl sitting next to him isn't Mella. Mella kept saying those words repeatedly until finally, she stopped when Christ shouted to leave.
I was silent, I didn't know what to do with this incident. I think Mella has just been possessed, but of course, I don't dare to express it, especially seeing Christ's very unnatural pleasure.
"Make a drink, Mella," Christ told her and Mella obeyed it without saying anything.
I watched Mella's departure intensely and then turned to Christ, "Is she okay? Do you know what happened just now? She just--"
"Mella is a mediator," Christ interrupted me.
"Huh?" I re-entered the world of confusion.
"I know you can guess it. Me and Mella, have six senses, we are indigo children. Mella is my friend since childhood, because of our ability, our parents decided to let us live together because we can protect each other," explained Christ.
"Wait a minute, do you mean you can see ghosts and Mella she lets ghosts take over her body. Is that so?"
"In a nutshell like that. But Mella didn't let any ghost enter her body, only if she allowed it. And I was someone who could get out and block the ghosts who forced her into her body, like before."
One word for Christ, "Wow ...!"
Mella came and served me a glass of warm tea to me. Without me noticing I shifted my body a little away, and Mella found out.
"This is the reason why I don't want people to know about our abilities. They get scared and stay away if they are not afraid, then they will use us," she explained.
I didn't mean it, "Just let you know, even though I know it, I have no intention to be afraid or even use both of your abilities. Sorry to offend you, it's just that I don't want you to suddenly say like before. That was very surprising."
Christ stopped us both and continued what he had to say, "You brought those three pictures right?"
I was surprised again but took the picture he meant.
"There is a reason why after all this time you have been the first and only human being allowed to see and communicate with them," Christ explained and handed the picture to Mella.
"That night we saw the three women standing behind you. Their eyes were very angry, and when they shouted at you, I ask Christ to leave from there, but unfortunately, our actions even made others go," said Mella.
"Didn't they leave because June ran first?"
Mella shook her head, "She did see the three women, but everyone thought she was just a coward and didn't want to play the game. But when Christ and I left, they were immediately scared, especially when our rumors of spiritual abilities began to spread."
Mella then placed the three pictures in front of me in a row. She pointed to the women in each picture. I wondered why Mella pointed to these three women. She then grabbed my hand and held it tightly while closing my eyes. I tried to let go, but Christ stopped me.
"She is trying to find out because the body also has memory," he said.
Then I tried to calm down, but Mella held my hand too tightly until I grimaced in pain.
"Mella..." Christ called her, and she opened her eyes and took off my hand.
"Christ, this is strange. I can't see it, all I see is a pool of blood, I can't even see them."
Christ caresses Mella's head fondly, which of course makes me want to hurry away. This love air is uncomfortable.
"So, can you explain what happened? My normal human brain doesn't understand what you say as human beings with spiritual abilities," I said a little annoyed.
"What are you talking about?" Christ asked.
"I talked about the meaning of all this."
"No, what I mean is "my normal human brain". How can you say that?"
Ah... it looks like I was wrong in speaking, "Sorry--"
Christ cut me off again, "You're just like us. You also have spiritual abilities."
"Even stronger than us," Mella added.
Right now I choose to be quiet because I think they just fooled me. There's no way I have spiritual power, even if I have it, it will be no more than a mere ability of these two people. So I chose not to believe it.
"Three angry women. These three women are angry at you because you managed to uncover the secrets they covered so far. You shouldn't go to the basement or meet people in it. They are angry with you now," Mella explained.
"Okay, suppose that is true. But they have no right to be angry with me. It's not me who wants to go in there, they should be angry at John and the others. I'm just a victim here."
Mella paused and then she said, "You are just a victim before you tell the truth to them," Mella again let her body be possessed and Christ was there only to hold her hand.
I don't care anymore about rationality, now I'm angry. "I don't know who you are or other women, but I never felt I was doing anything wrong!"
"You do it, you tell the truth!"
"Shit! You fucked ghosts! I told you I didn't do anything."
Mella glared at me, "When you tell them they are ghosts, everything changes. We can no longer protect anyone! It's all your fault!"
